The first sounds of Archaic came out of the northern suburbs of Perth in early 2006. High school friends Trent (Ear Deth) and Hans (Epignosis) put aside both of their individual musical pursuits to collaborate on a fusion of Death Metal and Black Metal.
After a few unsuccessful attempts to find a bass player and vocalist the revolving door was slammed shut when Kyle and Reuben joined the band. The chemistry between these four individuals was undeniable and they started to lay the foundations of what Archaic have evolved into today. With the addition of the monster Goyder on death vocals, Archaic have not only added a menacing stage presence but started to define their individual sound. The final piece of the Archaic puzzle is Lisa the addition of the haunting female vocals, along with their use of synthesizers and classical instruments gives Archaic a unique sound in the world of extreme metal.
Archaic have released 3 demo CD’s with an EP currently in the works. After honing their live performances with a few private shows Archaic have starting hitting the local stage. Bringing a theatrical gothic stage show combined with their tribal folk undertones Archaic are bringing something new to the Perth music scene.
