About me: This site is for Coastal Carolina University's Archarios Literary Art Magazine. It is a student-produced publication that started being published as it is now in 1990, but was published as a classroom exercise in years prior. There are two submission weeks throughout the academic year, which are posted around campus and sent out in a mass e-mail. The magazine accepts art, poetry, and prose (fiction, non-fiction, creative non-fiction, experimental) submissions. Archarios comes out one time per academic year, usually on CINO day at the end of the Spring semester. The meetings are held on alternating Friday afternoons at 2:30 in the student center, room 206. For anyone that is not familiar with the student center, it is the building across from Wheelright Auditorium that houses the CINO GRILLE. If you enter through the front doors you will see a set of stairs across from the small computer area. Take these stairs to the second floor, go through the double doors, make a right, and go through the second set of double doors. You will arrive in the student center lounge/office suite. This is where the meetings are held, every other Friday resuming on Friday, the 28th, after spring break.
The staff is really excited to embark on another year with this award-winning magazine! We welcome any ideas or input that you have, and have exciting opportunities for students that enjoy design, art, literature, editing, photography, and nearly every other discipline. We’d love to see you get involved! You can stop by the office, student center 206I, or contact us by send a message through MySpace. Archarios: Coastal’s way to transform the world through art.
Have a great year!!!
