I like music, and I prefer not to put any guidelines on my music, besides what it is trying to achieve. And what is that, you may ask? Just to put your hips in a shake. A bob of your head. I make music that's good to listen to. Music to please the ears if you will. It can sound anywhere from Club to Funk to Rock to Jazz to Electro... Somewhere around there. Beats of hip hop, classiness of a new york scene, soul of James Brown, just some new york soul in a machine and bite to boot... even though I have never stepped inside New York. I love the sound of the piano. I dig it. And when it is done well, it as the most addictive sound, that's how I feel about the piano.
I cycle through songs on my players as I make them or feel inspired to post older ones. Check back as the song line up often changes. Back catalog can be found on the Snocap store on my page or at www.acidplanet.com.
My name is Levi Wilbert, and I enjoy finding ways of manipulating music, designing the processes to enact these manipulations, and making something interesting out of it. My belief is the world is made of waves that can be affected, orchestrated and enjoyed, so providing my lifestyle of choice of following music to the ends of the universe. I use DAW's, drum machines and keyboards, turntables, and odd sound sources. I believe effects are as valid of a sound source as any other sound, and do not use fx simply to add a preset that will work in any situation (unless that is how the preset is designed, in which case I probably made it anyway).
I have my music here available to listen, and I occasionally add new, old or different material. Some of my stuff you can buy through the Snocap store. Everything on the myspace player is available for download at no charge, as well as everything at www.acidplanet.com (search for Music to Please the Ears).
Also, additional material is available on my other profile: my other profile. If you feel an urge to comment, feel free to use the comment box or to send me a message. Donations are also much appreciated, and can be sent through Paypal. Music is the way.

Was up! Hers my whole new album free! You can download it from the player! This new album is from my other project, If you like the album come join me at my other myspace page!
yea ive been using trackers for a while now theyre pretty good for detail usually tho there isnt a very heavy GUI (which makes them run alot smoother than something like FL or reason) a good free one to try out is milkytracker its a really basic clone of fasttracker II you can make chiptune from scratch with it i though that was cool...for the EP tho yeah i think we should do like 2 tracks shared samples (one by u one by me) and 2 originals a piece would suffice... and if you up for it i just thought maybe we could do a remix a piece song of our choice...
good stuff...i finaly found a pro music creation prog to use on linux thru wine its renoise 2.0.0 so imma rewrite my mix of trunk and then post it....so how many tracks u wanna do like 4 a piece or something maybe 2 of those unique (without shared samples)?
so far linux is fucking awesome for me no stallin no shitty error prompts every 5 sec my browser is quick as hell torrents DL faster than i could imagine....i really have no complaints except for the music production (which is most important to me) no there are really nice packages you can DL for ubuntu (i.e. audacity, rezound, goattracker, shcizmtracker, lmms, muse, jack sys) and also ubuntu 9.10 comes with a program called Wine which enables you to use windows progs but ive not been very successful with running FL9XXL but basically most of the other progs ive ran thru it (because of size and cpu usage) have run cleanly thru it....
i can totally agree where you are coming from ive recorded and produced alot of rap in my day and the retard rappin has always got an idea of how the beats are supposed to sound n shit...its very frustrating cause you are like supposed to know wat they want off the bat but really you know how the track is supposed to sound judging on the subconscious discrimination in your own head (i.e the way the person raps vs. the beats they wanna rap over, east coast rapper rappin on a west coast beats...) ive also come across this in metal music my buddy wanted to do that metalcore style but me as a vocalist/producer i knew my limits and created some cybergrind styles because i recognized both limitations in performance....(i.e. a lil project i did with my best briend preston called skrotal annihilation www.myspace.com/skrotalannihilation ) thats part of the reason i would like to do completely segregated mixes on the projects we work on....and honestly i would perfer this taking as long as possible so both of us can be happy with the outcome of the split release...ps im sorry if i didnt make any sense ive been drinking...
im definitely down...only problem is i just made the switch over to linux (ubuntu karmic koala 9.10)...so sharing project files will be a pain...i really can only use .wav, .ogg, .mp3, fast tracker II instruments...etc. the progs ive been using lately are LMMS (FL clone), milkytracker, audacity, rezound...now i have had a little luck running FL9XXL through Wine (windows programs emulator) but my machine sometimes has a hard time with intense projects files and vsts with heavy GUIs...but i am still capable of writing tracks efficiently w/o regression of quality...
seems imma b stuck like this till tax return time (then imma buy a newer computer with a windows os for music production since linux is still a bit sketchy with the audio aspect of computing)
so watever tracks i come up with imma have to export all my samples and send them to you via .rar on a filesharing site...
We are offering FREE downloads of 4 of our tracks from our debut album "Thanks to a Monster's Many Heads." Just click the songs to begin downloading, and enjoy! Beside Myself

new Stazma RMX on my player (Ragga remix between Cardopusher & Eat Rabbit ;-) + new old-game Speedball2 RMX in video (if you ever owned an Amiga 500 in the past) ^_^
it would be cool if it was like all wavs and the vst/vsti u use in said song(s) pack em up in .rars throw it up for the dl and then i can send u the same so then we both can use the program of choice...(cause i use a hell of alot more of em then i should...lol)
