My name is Jim Perry. I was born in Auburn, California, and in 1983 moved to Chester, California. Those were the refining years. Nine years of unmitigated crappiness (saying it nicely) taught me humility, and paved the way for a move to San Manuel, Arizona. There I came into my own and found myself. I found a real relationship with God, not some facade. I graduated High School and went to Central Arizona College, as well as The University of Arizona as a music major.
As a three-year dropout, I moved to New Albany, Indiana in 1998 to marry my wife. We now have three children, ages 6, 5, and 3. I work at U of L Hospital. Fine place. Pays the bills. I also like to write. Some day when I work up enough discipline, maybe I'll make it a career.
I am a musician who plays Bass, Guitar, Piano(ish), Trumpet and Drums(ish). I have been in Jazz Band, Community Band, Jazz Choir, College Choir, Acting and Stagecraft (all in the same year). I have arranged for Jazz and Concert Band, as well as conducted, and I absolutely love music.
[EXCEPT MOST RAP, SOUL, MODERN JAZZ, 20TH CENTURY ORCHESTRAL, JUNK ROCK, ASSEMBLY LINE POP, ELECTRONICA AND PROTEST FOLK]
Yup, Ohio it is, and yes, better than Salem, lol! I've been up here for a year and a half now but still make it home to see Mom and the kids every couple of months. I was glad to see your family is doing well. And that you're still playing music. And that you're still goofy :-)
