Early childhood influences are definitely Kraftwerk and the whole 80's new-wave-ska-punk-electro-synth-pop-italo-disco-period (i can actually remember being less than 5 years old and thinking "Wir sind der roboter (We are the robots)" is a great, great song and wanting to hear it again and see the awesome video on tv, once it came along). It was a real delight. But i liked other stuff too, like rock, punk, hiphop, techno, breakbeat, jazz, house and all their brother-genres, side-genres and sub-genres. I was allways friends with music, singing and dancing throughout my whole life [ but much more when i was a kid:)) ]. C64 and Amiga500 also had their influence. SF & Fantasy books, movies, games. The ol'e Industria Club (with Slavka & Lale as residents). First Belgrade Highschool was an influence ;].
I never was too-big-a-fan of ONE genre in particular.. with too much respect 4 true music to discard anything out of sheer prejudice. Therefore my taste in music is quite versatile. Lately i'm into electrotechouse and electropunkbreak mostly... also minimal-glitch-dub-noise suits my mixing preference.
Makin' electronic underground-club music for about 10 years without any
pre-meditation (just so i could create the music i heard in my mind). Here you
can hear a small portion of it. Couple of gigs @ local parties. Generally
i don't think music can be put into genres. The kind of music i create is
composed of electro-minimal-house-glitch-breaks-jazzy-tech. Sometimes just one
of those "genres", sometimes all of them. In short, it's never the same.
I think the whole view of genres is changing and people are expressing
themselves more freely every day. One day art and love will surely triumph
over
fakes and moneymakers. Just steer clear of the irritating commercial crap.
I also write articles for two magazines - Svet Kompjutera (my favourite
computer magazine - ever since i was a little kid) and Digital Magazine, which
is just as good in its own way.
I've written reviews for audio-software like Izotope Ozone 3, Korg Legacy
Collection, Ableton Live, Cycling74 Max/MSP, Silverjuke, Bias Soundsoap,
Native Instruments Massive, CamelPhat & CamelSpace, Anwida Soft GEQ31,
Voxengo GlissEQ, PSP Audioware Neon, Arturia CS-80V, Sony Sound Forge 9.
I also did some game reviews like Day Watch & Peggle Deluxe, and some regular
utilities like mstDefrag & such.
You can check out Svet Kompjutera (World of Computers) at :: S.K. ::
Also check out ::
Digital Magazine :: for my reviews of Native Instruments Traktor 3,
Reason 4, Virtual DJ 5, Mixvibes 6. Ableton 7 (it's funny how the numbers
follow a sequence, huh?)
Archmage, or archmagus is a title used to identify an especially powerful
wizard, usually within the context of fantasy fiction. The term is a
neologism strung together from the Greek word arché, meaning "first" or
"highest ranking", and mage, meaning, as we all know - a person using magic.
Although people or positions by those names can be found in the real world,
Archmages are most commonly found in fantasy. They are typically portrayed
as people who have, one way or another, gained the ability to influence the
world around them in ways modern physics does not readily permit. This
usually draws upon unusual energy sources, ranging from personal will-power to
ambient arcane energy to naturally occurring ley-lines. In almost all
cases they are a subset of wizards, magicians, druids, or other profession
which uses said energy, albeit typically a highly disciplined and usually
substantially more powerful and/or influential subset. Archmage is most often
used simply to refer to a higher ranking wizard.
Everything is pleasing to the senses around here!! BIG ups! Keep doin' what ya love!!!
