Gee's Bend at Arden Theatre Company October 9 - December 7
Arden Theatre Company is dedicated to bringing to life the greatest stories by the greatest storytellers of all time. We draw from any source that is inherently dramatic and theatrical – fiction, nonfiction, poetry, music and drama. The Arden presents programs for the diverse greater Philadelphia community that arouse, provoke, challenge, illuminate and inspire.
Who I'd like to meet: PROFESSIONAL APPRENTICE PROGRAM: Arden Theatre Company, a leading nonprofit theatre in Philadelphia, seeks ambitious apprentices for its 2009/2010 season.
The program provides apprentices with a comprehensive knowledge of the inner workings of a nonprofit regional theatre through work in EVERY aspect of operations including front of house, marketing, development, artistic, production, stage management, and general management. Apprentices work anywhere from 40-60 hours a week in ALL departments. The program is a full-time-plus commitment from late August to mid June, with a stipend of $375/week plus health benefits, paid time off, and complimentary tickets to Arden productions. Housing and transportation not included. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Send a cover letter with your areas of interest, current resume, a one-page essay detailing your five-year plan, two letters of recommendation, and 2-3 additional references (non-theatre related strongly encouraged) to: APA Coordinator, Arden Theatre Company, 40 N. 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Fax (215) 922-7011. DEADLINE: May 15, 2009.
