Ardesco is the result of eight musician's common love for the human voice and the intricate harmonies that are created when their voices are joined together. Singing with a fiery passion, Ardesco pushes the boundaries of a cappella music with their unique sound.
Born from a friendship that began when Andrew Mangal and Nureen Ladhani(alumni) began singing together in 2000 in an a cappella group at McGill University, Ardesco came into being as they realised there was a musical chemistry that was worth exploring further. In the fall of 2004 they put together a group that would explore a cappella repertoire inspired by Rajaton, a Finnish group they had seen while taking part in Festival 500 in Newfoundland. That spring the group dispersed as most of the members graduated and moved on to other projects. Undetered, Andrew and Nureen held auditions over the course of the next year and finally had a full group put together by the beginning of 2006.
The actual group made of Melina, Lindsay, Amelia, Beth, Andrew, James, Jermaine and Othniel perform their own arrangements of soul, jazz, pop, R&B, and gospel, among other styles. As music teachers, composers, jazz and opera singers and instrumentalists (among the many other things they persue individually outside of the group), the members bring their individual sounds and personalities to Ardesco.
It is a rare and beautiful thing when friends can join their voices together in song. Ardesco hopes you enjoy their music as much as they love sharing it with you!

Saw you at your show on Saturday night the 3rd! You guys were so amazing! I was just wondering about 2 things! the song butterfly which you sung so beautifully, how do spell the artists name i tried to google it and i dont think im spelling it correctly. And also about booking you for gigs, how does it work, i work at a pool where we have parties for the members and i think this would be a true treat for them! let me know! thanks again you uys are so amazing
