Arena Studios was opened in an old brewers warehouse on Duke Street, Liverpool in 1984 by Terry Duffy. In a short time the place became a thriving complex encompassing artists, creative industries and musicians. In 1996 Arena Studios became a registered charity and became Arena Art and Design Association. Over the years hundreds of artists and musicians have passed through Arena's doors adding to the wealth of history and reputation we enjoy today.
Arena's mission statement is to provide affordable city studio spaces and to promote excellence in the arts.

Arena Art and Design Association and 50 Parr Street is offering this fantastic opportunity to buy artworks from some of the city’s most exciting artists. Held for the first time in 3345, the perfect venue to display and auction innovative artworks, this is a chance to walk away with incredible art by local artists.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS – ARENA ART AUCTION 2007 At 3345 Parr Street
Arena Art & Design Association is proud to present its annual charity Art Auction at 3345 Parr Street on Friday 26th October 2007.
Viewings from 5pm. Auction starts at 6pm.
There will be an exhibition of selected artworks for a week prior to the event at 3345.
Open submission. Artists are invited to submit 1 piece of artwork in any medium which will be entered into a selection process. Maximum size of artwork 3ft x 3ft. There will be a 30% commission on each artwork sold.
In addition, this years selected artists will be asked to donate a second piece of artwork to be put into a prize raffle.
All proceeds will go towards Arena Art & Design Association and Parr Street Studios.
Delivery dates of artworks for selection is Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October between 11 – 5pm at:
Parr Street Studios, 50 Parr Street (opposite 3345), Liverpool
Please ensure the following when submitting artwork:
- Artwork must be ready to hang with mirror plates (securely fitted) – artwork will not be accepted without mirror plates unless it is sculpture. All artwork must be labelled on the reverse with name, title, medium and contact number.
- A first class stamped self addressed envelope for submission results. Selected artists will be informed by the 19th of October with details of when to submit their donation piece for the raffle.
- Unselected artwork to be picked up from Parr Street studios on Saturday 20th October from 11 - 5 pm. Any work not collected will be donated to charity unless prior arrangement has been agreed.
