Aretha Franklin Tribute Band actually started in summer 2006 - as The Aretha Jam Band and Pia now move on and expan her work with singing the songs to a band: Aretha Franklin Tribute Band where we work to establish a new constalation.
We still play the songs Respect, Natural Woman, Think, Baby I love you, Freeway of love and Spirit among others of the most known songs - and we still play, sing and enjoy the music with all our love and respect for our Soul Queen Aretha Franklin and her Musicians during the years and in this present time.
This constellation will continue as a tribute band- and we are keeping up with the spirit and of course wants to be loyal to the music and songs .... We hope during time to find our own natural way and sound to let the songs and music live .....
The people in the band are very used musicians in Copenhagen - for jazz, rock soul and Godspell music .. The recordings on this site is recorded in Medie Sound Studio in Denmark, : - Guitar: Klaus Gregersen, Bas: Tonny Andresen, Keyboard: Niels Anderson, Drums: Jan Schøffe, Saxofon and dubbings : Jacob Rhode Bacing singers: Maja Mulack and Lene Fibiger.
Pia Larsen singing the lead vocal has her background singing Godspell in "Voices of Joy" -Etta Cameron Ensamble - and also in different rock, pop, and soul bands.
Right now Pia also is working on her solo project RAIN BEAT - (Upcomming rock, pop, beat album www.myspace.com/rainbeat)
