There comes a time when imperfection is re-mixed into perfection. When the old is replaced with the new and evolution becomes revolution. Mona Liisa Productions. Known to many before as BabebLu, Inc.(pronounced as babyblue), Mona Liisa Productions (aka MLP) is the offspring of its former counterpart. MLP was established in Fall 2005, but began in mid-2000 as BabebLu, Inc, founded by two music-oriented individuals, So Gracious(Aka ReeL) and Da'Vinchi. Bridge Productions, affiliate of Mona Liisa Productions, had a significant role in helping to gather MLP. Thus the idea was offered and the plan was set. Beats began to bang from Da'Vinchi's home studio. Every weekend was a strong, hardcore session with at least 12 or more tracks created from the Emu Mophat and Roland J-V 1080 modules. In 2002, Mona Liisa's first project became eminent. As aspiring musicians, Mona Liisa Productions construed an album titled Urban Strings. The compilation album consisted of fully orchestrated tracks accompanied by sweet but rugged violin sounds (Da'Vinchi-Violinist), complemented by local artists to give the album a street twist. The project took off and Mona Liisa Productions emmenced a legacy. On the launch of 2003, MLP jumped on another compilation project. Titled "BabebLu vol.1", the street concerto took a different route. It conveyed Mona Liisa's writing, MC and more advanced musical skills. (BabebLu vol.1 features local artist Jahdy and others.) From late 2003 to current, with some adversity Mona Liisa Productions now collaborates with local studios and radio stations on various projects to enforce promotion. Some projects include DSI TV musical intro, Collaboration with Addicts for X102.3 local love intro, various local love top 10 hits (found in Ozone magazine) and many more.
