DRINK THE SUNSHINE is a perzine. It's normally hand-written. Some are A5, most are A6. It was named after a Symposium song. There are 12 issues, but only 11 available (number 9 has sold out). It's just me writing about me. It's free, but a few stamps or a trade are always welcome! I probably won't reply to you very quickly because I spend most of my life working, but I will get back to you eventually. My contact details are below. Here's what is available -
Numbers 1,2,3 - The first three issues are put together in a bumper issue! Number one was written in 24 hours, number 2 has tales of driving lessons and breaking my headphones, and number 3 contains thoughts about losing my keys and much more (as if you could possibly want any more!).
Number 4 - The Gloucestershire Flood issue - In 2007 Gloucestershire flooded and the water was cut off for about 5 days. Here is my diary of that time. Includes a stunning acrostic poem and other observations of people being smelly/unwashed/not being able to drink cups of tea.
Number 5 - This is A3 and folds into A6 - clever, huh? More hand-written tales about collecting coppers and being on the bus.
Number 6 - My thoughts on music after a workmate laughed at my listening to Kimya Dawson.
Number 7 - Contains more adventures in Tesco and the day I discovered the Native American pan pipe band who play in the High Street at the weekend eating Greggs pasties on a bench.
Number 8 - I Went To The London 'Zine Symposium And All I Got Was This Lousy Fanzine - Celebrating passing my driving test and questioning Libby's first aid skills in Neighbours.
Number 9 - A split issue with You Can't Say No To Hope - NONE OF THESE LEFT! SORRY!
Number 10 - My nan died and I thought I saw a ghost of her a few months later. This one's a bit sadder.
Number 11 - The Jeffrey Lewis Issue - I cut and stuck pictures and added Jeffrey Lewis lyrics to them in speech bubbles.
Number 12 - Tales of going to my parent's house for Christmas and going to Edinburgh last August and not eating any haggis.
Number 13 - Being Tall Is Hard - WORK IN PROGRESS! All about being taller than average.
