HEY FRIENDS PLEASE DON'T POST YOUR ADS OR FLYERS IN MY COMMENTS!
Melbourne, Australia is the amazing place I call home. Started DJ'ing 1997 and got involved with community radio around the same time. Released ‘Theme From Juan' in 2005, a collaboration with James Cecil and long time partner in sonic crime Richard Campbell. That was under the name Tempo Perdido and came out on Osunlade's Yoruba label compilation titled IBARA: River Crossing via the mighty Soul Jazz records
SInce then have studied sound Design at the VCA (2006) and have been busy working on devised independent theatre with Australian company My Darling Patricia, puppeteer and theatre maker Sam Routledge and The Lonely Instrument. In the spare time I am cooking up something resembling a solo EP In the home studio. Look out for it in 2009.
I run a website with some friends (Neil Stafford and Dave Hagger) called Research & Development. I am the Development half of that duo and my homie Richard Campbell is the other half. Together we have supported Theo Parrish, Maurice Fulton, Kevin Saunderson and Prefuse 73 amongst others. Find Research at http://www.myspace.com/rambl
I make weekly radio on Melbourne's 3RRR FM. You can listen online here
I like to write and do so for Research & Development and also for Music Australia Guide, Meanjin and Barbara Campbell's amazing 1001 Nights Project, a durational online performance that ran consecutively for, you guessed it, 1001 nights finally finishing in March 2008.
I was a participant in the 2003 Red Bull Music Academy in Capetown and have been a part of that wonderful and dysfunctional family of worldwide music lovers ever since.
