He is considered as one of the most vibrant ,original and versatile drummers in the Latin Alternative scene of Southern California, gaining respect with his work in many parts of Latin America.
Argel Cota aka "Arhkota" started his musical career as a drummer at the age of 16 in a band called Sonios. In 2000,he moved to Los Angeles, where he has been living for 7 years. Besides working with his own bands, he has worked as a sessionist for several artists.
Nowadays he is part of the bands Niño Astronauta, and Dream Comet. The first two have released their debut albums under the labels Static Discos and Familytree and been distributed by Kajmere Sound Distribution.
After 16 years of working as a drummer, Arhkota decides to begin a solo project, gathering more than 25 artists to collaborate on his album, where besides writing and playing different instruments, he produces all the tracks.
