This amazing, 17 year old, R&B/HipHop/ singer/songwriter/ and
teen queen DIVA, named Ariana, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
by way of Ozark, Alabama, to two very proud parents; mother –
Shannon, and father – Willie Lee Stewart. At the age of 5, Ariana’s early
musical talents were evident when her mother, Shannon, would sing
gospel and country songs to her, and Ariana would sing them back.
It was September 11, 2001, a day that would change 12 year old Ariana’s life forever. Ariana’s beautiful heart went out to the victims of the heinous terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and flight 93 that crashed into her home state of Pennsylvania. Ariana became a songwriter on that day. The results of that days events compelled Ariana to compose and dedicate the song she would entitle STRIFE (A brighter day is coming). After singing in her school choir, and winning various talent shows and songwriting competitions over the years, at age 16 Ariana had no idea what was about to happen to again change her life forever.
Through a friend of a friend, Ariana’s father received a call on
Valentine’s day 2006, from legendary entertainment mogul, Maurice Starr,
the man they call “The General,” known worldwide for discovering,
producing, promoting, and writing hit songs for pop teen icons “NEW
KIDS ON THE BLOCK” and R&B hit teen sensations “NEW EDITION,”
just to name a few. Starr’s music has sold over 500,000,000 records
worldwide and earned him over 750 Gold and Platinum records.
After a meeting with Ariana’s father, listening and reviewing her
press kit, Mr. Starr said, “This is something special and I would like
to be a part of it.” Ariana’s father accepted Mr. Starr’s request to
be a consultant for her independent record label 2MCH4YA Records.
Currently, Ariana has a small international following with website hits from such countries as Sri Lanka, China, Australia, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, and others with a monthly average of over 15,000 hits on her personal website http://arianastewart.net. Ariana boasts a current catalogue of over 100 songs that she has written, which resulted in her obtaining a solicited contact at Sanctuary Music group and she has submitted a song for consideration for one of their artists. She has recently placed a song with a group signed to Geffen Records, she has written and submitted songs for the sophomore project of Bad Boy Records young super group B5, she has co-written songs with JB of the Quad City DJ’s, she has co-written a song with a member of the Lords of the Underground, she has co-written a song with Shamora Crawford (a regular writer for R&B songstress MONICA), she is collaborating on a song with Slim from 112, and she has cowritten a song with Billy Lawrence (writer for J-Lo, Mary J Blige etc.). Ariana believes she will have a very lucrative career as a songwriter and as an artist. She choreographs dance routines for songs that she has written, sings ballads, sings club songs, raps, and has screen tested for an independent movie based out of New York as well.
Ariana and her mother and father feel that with their strong faith in
GOD and with Mr. Starr in the picture as a consultant, the reality of
her career thrusting into orbit is more than just a dream. Mr. Starr,
also known worldwide as a Star Maker, strongly feels that, “Ariana is
my next big discovery and history is about to be continued….another
just like the others!”
