"... you must tell 'em dat love ain't somethin' lak uh grindstone dat's de same thing everywhere and do de same thing tuh everything it touch. Love is lak de sea. It's uh movin' thing, but still and all, it takes its shape from de shore it meets, and it's different with every shore." Janie Crawford, "Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston
Character actress who can play mothers to businesswomen to psychos - all at once if necessary; age range 45 and above; message me for headshot and resume.
I'm a writer. I write mainly short stories, but I am working on a screenplay (sort of) and driving myself nuts with a one-woman play. I always try to write straight science fiction or horror, but some element of romance always creeps in. Bother! I have been known to do the odd freelance job and I have my own business "Darkwing Imaginings".
I'm a character actor who can play mothers to businesswomen to psychos - all at once if necessary. Love roles that are a stretch.>
I'm also seriously into science fiction and anime - in case, you haven't guessed!
MySpace blog ...
... is dedicated to shameless self-promotion so I will post ANNOUNCEMENT entries whenever anything is published. I'll post previously published short stories for anyone who is interested.
Who I'd like to meet:
Science fiction and anime geeks, writers, people who genuinely want to be friends and share stuff ...
HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE and other anime obsessions
OK, FullMetal Alchemist rocks but it's time to be fair and pay some attention to my other anime favourites. I love almost anything Studio Ghibli but especially HMC (yay Howl!) and Spirited Away (yay Haku!). Also really into Basilisk and Samurai X ... oh yeah, and you'll even see me in there.
..
LE CHEVALIER D'EON
I really like this anime although I know it isn't so popular amongst many other anime fans. It is set prior to the French Revolution and I must admit, I sometimes feel the need to watch the English dub, as Japanese voices coming from very French historical figures (e.g. Louis XV, Madame de Pompadour, Chevalier D'Eon) is at times just too weird. Yes, Chevalier D'Eon was a real man who often dressed as a woman - the unofficial patron saint of transvestites. This anime puts a rather different slant on why he did so.
SAMURAI X (Rurôni Kenshin: Meiji kenkaku roman tan: Tsuioku hen)
This is on a par with FullMetal Alchemist for me although this is a more sombre work. This is the story of Kenshin Himura and Tomoe Yukishiro, and like FullMetal Alchemist, is full of life changing decisions, trust, betrayal, self-sacrifice, love, death, transformation, the whole damn thing ...
BASILISK
Here is a really nice AMV dedicated to Hotarubi and Yashamaru. For the confused, the scenes where Yashamaru doesn't appear to know Hotarubi happen because it isn't Yashamaru! Watch Basilisk or read the book "The Kouga Ninja Scrolls" by Futaro Yamada to get the lowdown.
FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST - still my all-time favourite. I treasure the hours I lost watching and obsessing about this!
IZUMI CURTIS is my favourite character from FullMetal Alchemist - aside from Edward and Alphonse that is. She is often tough, even violent with the boys, but she once made a very serious mistake (which is why she coughs up blood - she is still alive against all odds), and she will do what it takes to stop her students repeating it (even though they do). Despite her harshness, she loves Ed and Al very deeply, and she and Ed are kindred spirits on so many levels ...
... and I love the song (Falling Again by Lacuna Coil http://www.myspace.com/lacunacoil). It's not from the series but captures Izumi's strength and sadness, in my humble opinion.
PLUS ... this AMV which shows Ed and Al at various ages, and enduring so much tragedy (sigh!!). I love the way this one ends (ol' heart strings get a major workout ... I am SUCH a sap. OK, so being a sap makes up for the mean streak - you think I'm joking?)

Hello my friend - this is the link to my site www. novel-storm. com. Please have a look - even better if you would register - It is FREE and takes seconds!
Soo true!!!.. Wish I could come to life before I make my comeback though! ;-) Hope all is great with you?! Thanks for hanging in there! You are a ray of sunshine.. literally! x
haha yeah i want it too! nah it was their fault actually, they have the dates of pay wrong on the payslips...working does suck a bit, have to agree there- plenty of things i'd rather be doing....nothing, for starters! (if someone would pay me the value of 6 centrelink cheques without the work for the dole crap then i'd be really happy) well hang in there, independent wealth is just around the corner, at the TAB!!!!
Well, feel free to ask away if you want more help or whatnot. Also, let me know if you want me to throw a wrench in your own side-stories that you've started in NeS. :)
In any case, hope you have a good weekend! Maybe you can bother The Last True Evil to post. He's, uh, on the same continent as you...? >.>
hey Darkwing! how are you?! how's that job going? its pretty sameo at auscript. i accused them of underpaying me the other day, but it turns out they didn't (but it was still their fault!)
i like to put up a nice innocent picture so ppl won't be intimidated by me...
Thank you.. Lovely to hear from you..Unfortunately it's been a real hectic 4 months.. and this site and all my adventures seem to have been put on hold indefinitely! Hope you're well? Very cool pic of you! Hope you have a great day! SG x
I do miss not having you as a top friend on Facebook! But them's the breaks I guess! Still great to have you on here maintaining the Fantasy standards that divide the world between the good and the bad, the black and the white, the beautiful and the beastly... I love you babe!
It doesn't tell you that kind of info, and I am trying not to be drawn into Facebook and Myspace too much. Anyway, you appear twice on here so I guess that is enough for any STAR! You are still in my top friends and always will be as one star or another!
ahoy darkwing! yes it was most unfortunate that the media got hold of my arrest...i mean, really there was nothing in it...how was i supposed to know she was only 14!? so yeah, i hate ron weasley now for telling the papers and slagging me off, and i'm going to make it my mission to make sure that in the next harry potter movie the ending is different to the books and he gets eaten by a basilisk or maybe luscius malfoy can turn him into a house elf or something. weasley was just jealous cos he didn't get any action. but i mean, he might be a rich movie star, but he's still got red hair so.....
Sadly, my one project's stallin' right now...hopefully I can change that soon.
I'm not sure how well I'd do myself if the stuff I wrote wasn't for myself... :| Hopefully you can find the means to write for yourself soon. :)
Also, while romance for your own character could certainly prove interesting, I was implying that you could work with some of the other love interests established in the NeS already. Don't be afraid to dabble in other characters -- that's part of the fun of an interactive story! :D
Thanks so much...I am having a great day, even auditioning as a lecherous priest for a feature film!!! I gott a get the part on my birthday!!! How did you go with that job interview?
As for my project, well, hopefully I'll be working on it enough soon to have something worth talking about. Until then, it's just another flight of fancy.
