Where do I get all these sounds constantly making songs and pieces of music in my(head)space? I am inspired by rhythms, melodies and grooves from various cultures, ambient atmospheres, modal music, native instruments and nature. I like changes, so I experiment with music: mix traditional sounds with modern arrangements, use electronica and special effects, play circular breathing on winds and didgeridoo, create original sounds from synthesizers. I love to blend styles of music to produce original compositions with flavours of my own (I also love cooking…). Sometimes I write poetry, sing them with accompaniment, and I hope my songs will touch you in your search for simple daily life truth.
Let me go back in time… During my study of Electronics, Computer Science, Music and Art at Paris University, I was also performing with several bands and started touring the world, visiting Asia, Africa, Japan, Canada and Europe, always listening to, sometimes playing with, the music and the people: different scales, colours of sound, timing and rhythms… I really had fun with this and met many great musicians from many various origins.
Well, time passes and during the last 3 decades, I have published a number of vinyl LP's, cassettes, and CD's. My compositions have been used for modern dance-theatre, films, advertising, musical poetry, relaxation and spa music, guided meditations, compilations, transformational groups (not all this at once!). I also have played on many various albums in France - even throughout Europe, the US and recently Australia, where I live… and mate, this is such a good place!
In the year 2000 I got tired of shabby record companies driving me mad, so I created my own world-fusion compilation label: Music Mosaic, www.music-mosaic.com … I have good times there too…
Now I come back to the spotlight because I have so much music in my(head)space that I want to share with you. I hope you will like what I do!!

I would like to share some juicy stories about meeting world musicians.
1) Learning circular breathing: "I was travelling in India, and watched a snake charmer playing for his Cobras… fascinating… his cheeks were like balloons filling in and out, and the music of his funny looking flute never stopped! After he had finished his basking, and closed his snake basket, I asked if he could teach me how to do the circular breathing. He burst out in a loud laughter, showing his mouth missing teeth! "You have money for me?" he took some rupias from my hand… "Wait for me he said", and disappeared just long enough for me to think I got cheated again… but he came back with two glasses: one filled with brandy, the other with water. "Drink first, then you learn!" he said, handling me the glass with brandy, and kept telling me to finish the entire glass. I started to feel the effect of the liquor when he put the glass with water in my hand and a straw in the other. "You make bubble, and never stop", he added with a smile in his old eyes. For the next twenty minutes, I had to endure the heat of the alcohol and the constant push of his voice telling me things like there was no air except in the straw, or that the cobras would bite me if I stopped… I finally collapsed on the floor… "Good, Sahib!" he said, "now you know", and disappeared into the night… Wow! Later I had to adapt this technique to my saxophone playing… but that's another story…
2) Spirit of the Ancestors: "some years ago I wanted to get in touch with the American Indian spirit, so I recorded some drums with a 1/2 Cheyenne friend (Stefen Be), and wished we could have some original Indian language, but where? Well, just a few days later, an Indian Cree literally knocked at my door, asking me about renting a car… we talked about this and that, and I asked him to listen to our drum tracks, and tell me if we were in the right spirit... "Good", he said, "I could hear some chants on that" I asked him if he knew some; "I am doing ceremonies with drumming, where I chant in Cree language"…I could not believe my luck! So the next day we recorded the words of a great piece (Thank you Creator), both in Cree, and English…

I was blown away with his music and have been trying to find it for 3 years. Luckily I found this website and now I will be able to experience his other music.
