Sounds Like
Counting Crows/Unwritten Law/Armik/Megadeth
Whew! That's quite the mix. Most of the upcoming album release is best described as acoustic rock, but there are still some heavy songs on it. The engineer I have been working with at Globalsound Recording Studio has dubed several songs Mexi-punk-metal. However, the overall feel is a rockier acoustic style.
Hey Im Ari, and Im a local musician in the Denver metro area. I am currently getting ready to release my first solo album: The Demons in My Mind. Im very excited to share this music and I think for the first time in my life I actually have a recording of which Im PROUD! For those of you who are musicians, you know what Im talking about. I finally figured out that Im not a freekin engineer and I should pay someone who knows what they are doing to record me. And here I am, a year, a life savings, and a good portion of my sanity later with something I cant wait to share. Im in the final mixing and copywriting stages so please check back in the next few weeks for some music on this page.
THE MUSIC: A Beautiful Anger.
The music is an interesting mix of what I would best categorize as Folk Rock. If I had to describe the content of the songs and their character I would call it a beautiful anger or just plain SEXY:-) There are some solo acoustic tracks on the album mixed with full band rock and straight up metal guitars. Im a metal guitarist by trade, but I cant find any metal musicians to work with who will tolerate my extreme drive.
Also, I am beginning to tour the Denver open mike night circuit and I will start booking gigs in the next few weeks so stay tuned Thanks, A

Get a Leg Up Battle of the Bands II: Week 4
Hosted by The Toad Tavern
BAND: Ari
STYLE: solo acoustic rock
WHAT THEY DID RIGHT: Good command of his voice, excellent skill with his guitar. Unlike some other solo performers, not all of his stuff sounds the same. Plays without a backing recording. Made a real effort to reach the crowd, especially on the last song: when he was having sound problems, he unplugged and went into the audience.
ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: I understand how difficult it can be to find a backing band, but if he ever does, it should turn a good show into an amazing one.
OVERALL: I'd see him again

I wish I was too, but I have no money and other plans :( but you guys will have fun and your view of truth is a lot more smart sounding more thought out then Jack Handey's.
"To me, truth is not some vague, foggy notion. Truth is real. And, at the same time, unreal. Fiction and fact and everything in between, plus some things I can't remember, all rolled into one big 'thing.' This is truth, to me."
