New songs coming soon!!!!!!!!! In September we're finally going back into the studio at Toadhouse to record with Tony Komforty from Nanda Devi!
"Portland’s best post-instrumental rockers...succeeds not because of its resemblance to similar instrumental acts.. but instead in how it differentiates"-Michael Mannheimer, Willamette Weekly
"I was surprised at the power behind the group before me, adding to it a strong stage presence and friendly after the show demeanor"-Fensepost.com
"The finest moments for Aristeia are those when the band loses itself in an expansive meandering periods of instrumental noise. An epic rise and fall of notes that makes Explosions in the Sky look like a bunch of Texas bedwetters. It's a safe assumption these boys can throw down" Portland Mercury

And a beautiful song, indeed (She Makes Me Want to Build a Time Machine). Do you have other recordings, besides "You Give Me Strength...."? If so, where can they be obtained. Would be cool if y'all could play another show with We're From Japan! sometime. That was a great show.
Check out the previews of our forthcoming album Spring. The music is a
mixture of jazz and krautrock with a powertrio lineup. I hope you like
what you hear!
Hey guys, long time no talk. Since the shoot we had a year ago, I have acquired lots of equipment and connections and now I am going to be the DP of a feature length film my friend wrote coming up. We are having a fund raiser at Kelly's Olympian next Wednesday (Sept. 16th) at 7:30. We will be showing four short films (including unreleased episodes of my webisode series The Free box!) followed by a performance by trip hop band "Stella Grace" followed by DJ Buster Douglas. Anyhoo, I would be thrilled if you guys made an appearance. it's free with a suggested donation of $5-$500. We are funding the film 100% from the proceeds of this event. with that said even if you tossed a dollar into the hat we will thank you greatly! Furthermore, we are approaching the stage where we need to start consulting about what music we will be including in the film. I know each one of you are involved with many music projects and are pretty well connected to the PDX music scene. I'd love to pick your brain for a while about what suggestions you might have. New songs sound great by the way- keep it up! -Jon

thanks and peace&love from minnesnowta

I have decided to dedicate the majority of my time to recording and selling albums. Currently I am on a Cassette kick, and everything that I am self releasing, or releasing on the label I own and operate (Kapustin Yar Records) is now on Tape. Prices will remain as low as possible on said products, because Tapes are for die hard collectors or Cassette enthusiasts only these days. The majority of albums I release on other labels, which is a larger and larger number month by month, are still being released on CD. That being said, I have recently recorded for The Persona Series (albums for individuals, named after their purchaser, with the owner retaining all rights and receiving 2 mini posters for $10 postage paid), which has been very successful. I have recorded a 90 minute Cassette, High Above The Horizon, which is available for $4 postage paid, and The Blood Album Part 2 for $4 postage paid. Please help me to continue pumping out these and other albums by ordering these crazy Tapes today!!!
