We’re looking for a few women to share their stories about heart disease for our annual Heart Healthy SpreadArizona Woman is teaming up with non-profit Go Red For Women to help educate the public about heart disease. It’s the No. 1 killer of women.
We’re looking for a few women to share their stories about heart disease — whether it’s about their own fight, a family member’s or even if it’s just a cause they support. We’ll feature the women in our April “Heart Healthy” spread.
If you would like us consider your story, send a description (100 words or less) about your connection to christina.leonard@pni.com. Don’t forget to include your name, title, business and contact information. Deadline: Dec. 5.
EVENT: Mujeres Latinas de Éxito “Growing in Challenging Times”
Join Mujeres Latinas de Éxito on November 20, 2008 for a day of renewal during these difficult times. They will be celebrating their 1 year anniversary with keynote speakers Martha Mariscal (Coldstone franchise owner) and Ana Li (MLDE founder and recipient of 40 Hispanic Leaders under 40 award). In addition, breakout sessions will be offered to further develop skills required during these times. Breakfast and lunch are included. The event is hosted by IKEA Tempe, located at the Warner exit of 1-10 from 7:30a-1:30p. Please preregister by calling the office of MLDE at 623-847-1646 by November 10.
