Arjuna started out as a 4 piece powerhouse in late 2004, consisting of Steve (guitar), Josh, Gary, and Adolfo (bass). The first CD, "Love Regret Without Remorse," contained 12 tracks, notably "Dear Blank" and "Sleeping With the Enemy." Arjuna played countless shows and toured behind the first CD, spanning all the way from Alabama to Texas, and even into Oklahoma. In mid 2006, Arjuna decided it was a good run, but it was time to throw the gloves in.
After this time, Josh moved to Baton Rouge, where Brady was attending LSU. The two good friends jammed often, and always spoke of resurrecting the band. In mid 2007, this became a reality. Steve decided to part ways with the band, and Chris was recruited on 2nd guitar. Chris played with Arjuna before the breakup, and this was a welcomed addition. After trying several bassists, Casey, formerly of Samurai Deli, and a friend of Brady's, was brought in to handle the low end. Since the post-hiatus, the band has been working on new songs for a 12 track CD to be tentatively released the summer of 2008. The lineup change has resulted in a sonic shift for Arjuna and a departure from the overall sound of the first CD. The sophomore release will be sure to please and the band will be playing shows all around the Southern US in the coming months.
