SETH was without doubt today a leading act in the extreme metal scene of France. The band was formed in the end of 1995 (2 members & the Frontman Vicomte Vampyr Arkames). They never recorded a real demo, just a rehearsal tape and then a mini cd called "By Fire Power Shall Be" which was printed in more than 1000 copies. After a debut mcd, SETH first album "Les Blessures de l"Ame" (released in 1998 on Season of Mist) received very promising reviews from the press and started creating a solid fanbase worldwide, destined to expand step by step. The band signed a contract with Osmose Productions and recorded the second album "The Excellence"(2000). Uphold by prestigious collaborations such as Fenriz (Dark Throne) and the famous electronic band Total Eclipse, SETH combined and joined very different influences into extreme metal music with no boundaries, as long as strength and brutality is at stake. Shortly after the band got offers to appear on French TV music shows and shot a video clip for the French MTV channel "MCM". SETH was also invited to take part of the legendary "Tribute to Mayhem" compilation on Avantgarde Music along with bands such as: Immortal Behemoth, Dark Funeral...
In 2001, France's AD INFERNA have been joined by vocalist Vicomte Vampyr Arkames from the band SETH. The group entered Holland's Excess Studio on July 13th to record a brand new album, called “L’Empire des Sens”. Vampyr Arkames is now a fixed member of the band since leaving SETH and wrote all the lyrics. The album contains some female vocals from Robynne of Daeonia and some other exciting combinaisons on vocals on most songs. The orchestral introduction of "L'Empire des Sens" has been composed & performed by Marco from the german band Obsidian Gate. The album contains 10 tracks enclosing a cover from Falkenbach "Baldurs Tod". AD INFERNA have done it, they release a pearl of Gothic Music with their first opus. The CD unites evil growls, lovely angelic voices, bombastic keyboard and guitar plays, double bass drums at a diabolical gallop both listener who wants funereal and atmospheric depth and convinced headbanger will be filled up with enthusiasm. Ad Inferna plans to begin working on their second studio album which will be recorded in early 2009!!!
