Making the Band contest at Arkansas Rocks! Entertainment
AR!E All Star Band Contest
Basically, I have had this idea to make an all star band from local bands we have promoted and worked with over the past 2 years. I keep hearing how the local scene needs help and exposure.
I really think this is a great way to pull people into our shows!
I will be posting voting boxes for lead singers, bassists, drummers and guitar players throughout June. Basically we start randomly with 5 contestants in each category. The winner of that round advances to week two where they will compete with 3 other new contestants.
This voting will go on with each winner advancing until we are at the final week where the winners are crowned as Arkansas Rocks! Entertainment All Star Band!
This band made up entirely(hopefully) of different band members will choose from one of our pre-selected cover songs to perform at the finale in July! They will have time to practice 3-4 times and perform for us, it's gonna be awesome fun! They should really rock out too, since your votes got them there.
That's not all. Each individual winners' band will also perform a 30-45 min set that evening of the finale. So we will have 4 bands, and the All Star Band perform that night! I will also be working on sponsors for food, t shirts, advertising, etc. IF you are interested in helping out with this competition, let me know. We need all the help we can get.
Also, I have chosen the warehouse to hold this event. Lately I havn't had alot of luck booking you bands in the area clubs. I think the Warehouse is the best place.
Arkansas underground is where it's heading folks! Let's keep the money in the hand of the bands, not the venues who make a killing off you! Note: Bands will split the door that night!!! I will recover our expenses and the rest is yours!
Tell everyone you know and spread the word quickly! We havn't got alot of time! You can vote as many times as you want. You will have to leave our page and come back to vote again though. Right now the competition has started with 5 lead singers.
Vote now and watch because next week all positions will be posted and the voting will really heat up! Remember each week's winner will advance and compete with new musicians the next week!
IMPORTANT:
We randomly selected who would kick off voting. Do not be hurt if you are not in the first batch. The bands will all be represented each week. Do not call or write me about things being unfair.
Just vote your asses off and maybe your musician will win! It's your vote that counts the winners!
Only bands we have represented thru Arkansas Rocks! Entertainment are in this competition.
However, if this is sucessful, we will do this several times a year! How fun is this gonna be?????
NOTE: In case there is a band or member who doesn't want to be included, we will have a run off between the last three of that category for a new winner who does want to compete!
REMEMBER:
This is a friendly competition! No malice at all. We love you all! It's totally to help promote you and your bands to the public.
