L'Armageddon In The Park è un festival heavy metal che si svolge ogni anno in Molise a San Giacomo degli Schiavoni, un piccolo paese a solo 5 km da Termoli e dal mare. Ad agosto il parco comunale di questo paesino si trasforma nel teatro di un evento in costante crescita, che ha ormai oltrepassato i confini molisani, facendosi conoscere in tutta Italia e non solo.
Nato nel 2004 dall'idea di quattro metalheads che volevano promuovere e diffondere questo genere, è dalla prima edizione che l’Armageddon in the Park è portato avanti con lo stesso spirito e con la voglia di offrire anno dopo anno uno spettacolo sempre migliore.
Nelle precedenti edizioni l’Armageddon ha dato spazio a band emergenti molisane (Planar Evil, Phaenomena, Cryptic Theory, Wicked Dream, Sakahiter e altre), a importanti band italiane (White Skull, Node, Burning Black, Infernal Poetry, Rain, Anthenora, Battle Ram, Metharia) ed anche europee (Majesty e Grind Inc. dalla Germania).
Nella sesta edizione che avrà luogo il 1° Agosto 2009, a far tremare il palco dell’Armageddon In The Park ci saranno i NECRODEATH, uno dei migliori gruppi estremi di sempre, preceduti da CENTVRION, HOUR OF PENANCE, SUBLIMINAL CRUSHER e altri ancora.
Armageddon In The Park is a heavy metal fest that takes place every year in Molise in San Giacomo degli Schiavoni, a small town just 5 km from Termoli and from the sea. The municipal park of this village in August becomes the theatre of an event in constant growth, which has exceeded the boundaries of Molise, becoming well-known all over Italy and beyond.
Born in 2004 from four metalheads who wanted to promote and spread this kind of music, since the first edition Armageddon in the Park has been brought ahead with the same spirit and with the desire to give a better show year after year.
In previous editions Armageddon gave space to up-and-coming bands from Molise (Planar Evil, Phaenomena, Cryptic Theory, Wicked Dream, Sakahiter and others), to major Italian bands (White Skull, Node, Burning Black, Infernal Poetry, Rain, Anthenora, Battle Ram, Metharia) and also to European ones (Majesty and Grind Inc. from Germany).
In the sixth edition, which will take place on 1st August 2009, the stage of the Armageddon In The Park will be shaken by NECRODEATH, one of the best extreme band ever, preceded by CENTVRION, HOUR OF PENANCE, SUBLIMINAL CRUSHER and others.
