Il progetto Arm on Stage nasce in un casolare tra i colli sperduti ed evocativi del passo del Sassello dove Folco Orselli, Stefano Piro, Alessandro Sicardi e Claudio Domestico si isolano per 10 giorni ad improvvisare e a liberare idee - processo battezzato improvvisione - ognuno al proprio strumento ma con un approccio nuovo ed empatico... Il contesto naturale è il fulcro di una spirale di idee che si concretizza in 7 ore di registrato “di getto”. Le diverse influenze ed estrazioni dei singoli si mescolano in un sound autentico ed originale..... Rientrati a Milano danno forma alle idee... Con l’apporto ritmico di Daniele Parascandolo alla batteria e l’aggiuntivo ausilio elettronico di Guido Andreani sono nate dieci tracce tra canzone e psichedelia... Le registrazioni vengono effettuate alle Officine Meccaniche di Mauro Pagani in presa diretta, con l’obbiettivo di mantenere la carica esecutiva e di non inficiare in fase di registrazione lo spirito originario..... Pur essendo tutti e quattro autori di testi in lingua italiana, scelgono in questo progetto l’inglese in segno di apertura internazionale e stimolante rottura coi propri percorsi individuali... I testi ispirati dalla natura assumono una rilevanza spirituale e onirica: aspettando il guardiano della coscienza (The Guardian), la cavalletta che prende forma una notte in una costellazione (Queen is gone), il sogno di volare su un deserto di caffè incontrando un iceberg (Desert Coffee), una ragnatela di pioggia immaginaria che diviene il contesto di un mondo interiore (Spider Rain), il lupo di montagna che si ritrova trasmutato in un uomo in città (Wolf in town)..... Sabrina Pria ha contribuito ai testi trasformando le improvvisioni in visioni e Dave Muldon alla supervisione grammaticale e alla pronuncia..... I brani sono cantati da Folco Orselli, Stefano Piro (Mouse in the cornflakes box) e Claudio Domestico (Wolf in town) e orditi più volte da parti corali. .... Da una consapevole sinergia comune nasce un progetto aperto a mondi musicali differenti, dalle forti note espressive che richiamano sonorità rock classiche, suoni acustici ed elettrici, progressive e psichedelia. ....****.... The Arm on Stage Project was born in a cottage between the suggestive and secluded hills of the Passo of Sassello (Italy). This is where Folco Orselli, Stefano Piro, Alessandro Sicardi and Claudio Domestico met and remained isolated for 10 days to improvise and to let free of their ideas – a process they called improvvision – each with its own instrument but with a new and empathetic approach to it... The natural context in which they were situated was the prime element that inspired the spiral of ideas instinctually materialized in 7 hours of recording. Their different single backgrounds and influences mixed and resulted in an authentic and original sound..... When they return to Milan they start working on their ideas giving them shape... With Daniele Parascandolo’s drums rhythmical support and Guido Andreani’s electronic aid, ten tracks between songs and psychedelic were born. Recordings were made live by Mauro Pagani in the Officine Meccaniche Studio, to maintain the original strong sensations whilst performing and the genuine spirit of their original creativity... Although all the members of the band are Italian mother tongue, they decided to use English for this project and be open to an international public leaving behind their own individual life path... The lyrics, inspired by nature, assume a spiritual and an oniric relevance: waiting for the conscious guardian (The Guardian), the grasshopper who takes shape in a night on a constellation (Queen is gone), the dream of meeting an iceberg whilst flying over a desert of coffee (Desert Coffee), an imaginary spider web of rain that represents an interior world (Spider Rain), a mountain wolf that becomes in a city man (Wolf in town)..... Sabrina Pria has contributed to the lyrics turning the improvisions in visions whilst Dave Muldon supervised the grammar and pronunciation..... The tracks have been sang by Folco Orselli, Stefano Piro (Mouse in the cornflakes box) and Claudio Domestico (Wolf in town) and chorus sang by the four artists... From a shared passion and a perfect synergy a project develops, open to different musical worlds, with strong expressive notes that recalls the classical rock sound, to acoustic and electronic rhythms, progressive and psychedelic.
