Jul 5 2010 1:20 AMIts going to take 1000 skimmers at 24-7 for 1000 years and still the water will need cleaning. 1 quart of oil destroys 200,000 gallons we all know there is billions if not trillions of gallons of oil in the ocean. One gallon is equal to 4 quarts. so if 1 quart destroys 200,000 gallons One Galion of oil will destroy 800,000 gallons get what I'm saying. The ocean is already destroyed that's why your taking your time on the clean up. Why not donate some of your time and alow your famly members to play in this sludge and if gods on your side maybe they wont get some blood-forming disorders.Potential Health Effects From Overexposure to Crude Oil Also remember this is like Nuclear waist even if you can't see it its still killing you. But you guys already know this. Acute Effects Eyes: Sight to moderate eye irritation. Skin: Moderately irritating; causes redness, drying of skin. Inhalation: Will cause narcosis and/or chemical pneumonitis. High concentrations of hydrogen sulfide can cause headache, dizziness, unconsciousness and/or death. Ingestion: Extremely irritating to throat and stomach. Causes excitation, loss of consciousness, convulsion, cyanosis, congestion and capillary hemorrhaging of the lung and internal organs. Chronic Effects Skin irritation. The long-term, repeated application of crude to the skin of laboratory mice (without washing between applications) resulted in a statistically significant increase in the incidence of skin tumors. Crude oil contains benzene, which can cause degeneration in blood forming organs leading to anemia which may further degrade to leukemia. Additional Medical and Toxicological Information May aggravate pre-existing dermatitis. May cause blood-forming disorders, or lead to kidney or liver dysfunction. |

Jul 5 2010 1:19 AMHey so I'd been training for the military... it's been coming along, slowly but surely! To me, if I'm gonna join, I wanna see combat somehow. I know it's hard cuz as a female I can't get into an MOS where it would be expected and that does really piss me off. But from what I do understand, job descriptions are blurred once in Iraq and Afghanistan and I've heard of women getting into combat situations. I wanna know:1. What MOS's will get me deployed and will get me CLOSEST to combat as a female? 2. Does anyone know about Operation Lioness?? How can one volunteer for that? Can I volunteer when I join or do I have to be in for awhile and just hope I get in?? Hit me up!! |
