Established in 2004, A.R.M.Y militant beatz set about pushing nothing but the very best in upfront, underground music from some of the UK’s key players, as well as the cream of up and coming talent. Call it whatever you like, Dubstep, Grime, Breakz, Electro, we don’t label our sound. The fact is that A.R.M.Y’s sound is being championed all over the UK and abroad by like minded visionaries, music lovers, DJs and artists alike.
BIOG
Tracks from the debut release “Get Busy” and “Space Hopper” from Manchester’s pioneering producer Mark One, were already anthems down at Shoreditch’s dubstep mecca “FWD” when Rossi picked up on them, with DJs likes J Da Flex, Oris J and Radio 1’s new addition “The Plastician” getting crowds doing the A.R.M.Y bogle.
This was followed swiftly by Wolverhampton based L.A.S and his grimey broken beat wobbler “VIP”, originally championed by EZ at the legendary “Sanctuary” Sidewinder events.
Whilst most labels were thinking inside the box, A.R.M.Y decided to firmly climb out of the “It’s a London thing” mindset and made a conscious effort to track down the best tracks from the most innovative producers in the UK, particularly outside of the capital.
Morph, Plasticman (The Plastician), 2nd II None, EJ, Virgo, Mr. Slash, Dubchild and more have climbed aboard the A.R.M.Y tanker and the search continues…

Review: "Don Goliath's "Bagstep EP" (DDR030) is one of those innovative EPs showcasing how versatile Dubstep can get. The unique idea of creating Dubstep versions of celctic (Irish as well as Scottish) folk classics for all you drunkards longing to sing along was Don Goliath's motto when producing this madness. The concept is as simple as effective: he picked 4 of your grandpa's favourites such as "Old Skibbereen", "Scotland the Brave", "Drunken Sailor" and "Amazing Grace" having the melody played by a definitly non-sober Bagpipe section and then layering it with lofi mid range wobbleism - we therefor call it Bagstep. Overall production quality is high grade with that intense sub focus so you can blow-dry your hair right in front of the bass bins. Now let's get into the tunes: "Skibbereen Bagstep" is one of the melancolic minor tunes expressing Irish history as it is. It is an unmixable 3/4 waltz beat at unusual 154bpm, well dancebal though when one moves to the triplets. "Bagstep the brave" should be one of the sickest rebuilds of the Scottish national anthem making it Mel Gibson's signature tune if he had one. "Drunken Bagstep" is a Glitchfest version of the sailors anthem capable of getting you uberdrunk by listening alone, Arrrr! "Amazing Bagstep" is as religious as it gets making it a tune that'll certainly safe xamounts of lost souls. Enjoying the dancefloor got even easier now: drink out the bar, make your skirt fly and sing along to these (future) classics! Some will hate this release and some will love it, there barely is anything in between. All Dubstep Division crew salutes the latter as our fellow beerheadz! cheeeeeerz!"

January 2009 sees the fusion of two formidable forces on the dancefloors of Glasgow as Numbers take on the Fortified Sessions for a ruck of epic proportions. Forged in the shadowy back rooms of 2-star hotels, and muttered in hush tones among the general public, the alliance of these two camps is not to be taken lightly. With them they bring Dutch wonderboy Martyn, who has risen up the ranks of the electronic mafiosi so fast in such a short space of time that he makes Anthony Montana look like a geriatric bag of shit. He first made his imprint on many heads with the release of the 'Broken/Shadowcasting' 12" on Marcus Intalex' Revolve:R label, showcasing a sound coming from Detroit, Chicago & Croydon, but ultimately from Martyn's own mind. Since then he has set up his own label, 3024 which further explores the meeting of the lush strings of the Motor City with the garage rhythms of London Town. Also an in-demand remixer, Martyn has touched the works of Flying Lotus, Steve Spacek and Shut Up & Dance to name but a few, and always with quality results. Number's Production Unit & Fortified Sessions' Electric Eliminators will be adding the extra muscle just incase you needed another reason to come (which you didn't), and to make sure you can hear all this goodness in full effect, the Bass Warrior Soundsystem will will dragging down their big boxes of bass to test the structural soundness of Stereo's foundations. Hard-Hats optional, Freak-Moves mandatory.
