Arnd van Lendt was born on September 11th, 1973 in a little
village near Cologne in Germany.
As a child he was introduced to music by listening to the 80´s hits of
his sisters, knowing early on that electronic music was his favourite style.
That´s how he got to amass a huge vinyl collection of more than 10.000
12" inch vinyls - ranging from ABBA to Zappa- Studio 54 originals, black
music, disco grooves, the complete 80´s and of course house, house and
more house.
House rocks school
During his time at school, van Lendt was on the turntables at some high-school
parties. The legendary high-school parties with Arnd became popular very quicky,
and within no time other schools were looking for him and his beats.
At the prom in 1999 the head of a club called "Tanzhaus" gave van Lendt
the chance to rock this club for nearly six years as resident dj, helping to
establish it's cult status.
While studying law in Cologne, van Lendt took part in one of Germany's biggest
dj competitions at a club called "Hippodrom" in Hennef. He won it,
and the much sought after prize of a trip to London, which included the chance
to play at London's famous ''Hippodrome'' club. However, he rejected a year contract
with "Hippodrom Hennef", which was also offered as part of the prize,
preferring the opportunities of the exciting Cologne-clubscene.
At home in the house-zone
Before becoming resident dj of "Lucky B's" Thursday "clubnight" (alongside
well established Cologne house djs "Clouse Caspar" & "dj Disco
Inferno"), he rocked the party people of "Neuschwanstein". The "club
night" was unmatched for years as a house music trendsetter, and van Lendt
established initial contacts with internationally reknowned djs.
For years van Lendt rocked "Blue Monday" at "Alter Wartesaal" -
a club well known far beyond Cologne. Later on he became resident at "Apollo" and
had cameo appearances at clubs like "Tiefenrausch" and "Fifichoo".
For quite a while now, van Lendt's home is "Nachtflug"- regarded as
one of the top addresses in Cologne´s vibrant clubscene. He rocks the club
every Tuesday with the "6 vor 6" Party, alongside dj teddy-o, who is
one of the top black music dj´s in the region. You can listen to him leading
the "I love Fashion "-Party (every Friday), every second Saturday of
the month at "Booty-Moves" Party and at the "Gang-Bang"-Party,
where "Nachtflug" and "Fifichoo" open together on three areas.
