Music in general, mainly electronic music of all categories, especially what we call deep, like the stuff coming from Detroit, but also interested in jazz, some metal stuff, funk from the old days, soul etc.
I love reading good books, mainly science fiction books and thriller stuff.
Also I'm a film addict and like all the classic science fiction stuff like Star Wars (the original old ones of course!) or the best film ever Blade Runner....
I'm interested a lot in cooking Thai food and people that tried my food never complained, so I guess it has to be pretty good.
I do love to watch my two cats play and it's great to see them enjoying their life! They make me smile a lot more than I usually do.
Since we live in lovely and beautiful Scotland now I found another interesting hobby: Malt Whisky. Fascinating topic and this hobby is not based on the alcohol content of whisky. :-)
It is about the taste, the history and the cultural aspects of this fascinating product.

...Detroit Techno, good deep techno, electro and house in general, ambient, some electronica stuff like Black Dog, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin and so on. Jazz from the sixties and the good old Blue Note era, Pharao Sanders, Sun Ra, Herbie Hancock especially in his funky electronic era in the 70s. I love Depeche Mode forever and always. My first self bought record was DM and I guess they have to play DM for my burial. Also like some metal stuff, not the really hard stuff anymore as I'm getting older and older... ;-) Stuff like Saxon or Judas Priest. Parliament & Funkadelic, The Supremes, James Brown, Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Johnny Cash, Porcupine Tree, Audioslave, Morrissey, The Smiths, Siouxsie & the Banshees, The Cure, The Swans, The Who, Thin Lizzy, Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream and so on and on....

BORN 1973 AND RAISED IN SOUTH GERMANY,
ARNE WAS INFLUENCED AS A YOUNG KID BY
HIS MOTHER AND HER VARIED MUSICAL TASTE.
AFTER SEVERAL EXCURSIONS INTO DIFFERENT
MUSICAL STYLES SUCH AS DEATH METAL AND
HIP HOP IN HIS TEENAGE YEARS, ARNE FINALLY
DISCOVERED TECHNO MUSIC AT THE AGE OF 21.
SINCE THAT TIME HE BECAME INFECTED AND
SOON STARTED TO DEEJAY. AFTER PRACTISING
HIS TURNTABLE SKILLS AT HOME, HE BECAME
A RESIDENT DEEJAY AT THE DEPOT CLUB IN
TUEBINGEN, WHERE HE RAN A MONTHLY PARTY
EVENT FOR 5 YEARS. THERE HE MET WITH ARTISTS
LIKE OLIVER KAPP, FABRICE LIG, SHAKE, PACOU,
DJ TIM AND LOTS OF OTHERS, AND DEVELOPED
HIS PASSION FOR THE DEEPER SHADES OF
TECHNO MUSIC, ESPECIALLY COMING FROM
DETROIT.
IN 2000 ARNE DECIDED TO MAKE HIS FIRST
ATTEMPTS AT PRODUCING DEEP MELODIC TECHNO
HIMSELF WITH ONLY A COMPUTER, AND SOON
REALISED THAT HE NEEDED TO GET SOME REAL
GEAR TO EXPRESS HIMSELF AUTHENTICALLY.
ARMED ONLY WITH A FEW PIECES OF GEAR HE
STARTED TO DO HIS FIRST REAL TRACKS AND
SOON GOT A RECORD DEAL WITH FRANKFURT
BASED LABEL PROPAGANDA.
HIS FIRST 12", THE "THROUGH THE COLONNADES"
EP WAS RELEASED IN EARLY 2001 AND GAINED
SOME GOOD REACTIONS SUCH AS GETTING
CHARTED BY LAURENT GARNIER. BECOMING FAR
MORE INFLUENCED BY DEEP ELECTRONIC MUSIC,
ARNE BEGAN BUILDING HIS STUDIO AND HIS OWN
MUSICAL STYLE. SOON HE GOT IN CONTACT WITH
OTTO KOPPIUS, LABEL OWNER OF THE DUTCH
GROUNDZERO/KEYNOTE LABEL, AND GOT HIS
SECOND RELEASE, THE "SNOWFLAKE" EP IN 2002.
AFTER THAT A LOT OF 12"ES FOLLOWED, RELEASED
ON LABELS SUCH AS STARBABY, DOWN LOW,
HEADSPACE AND TECHNOIR AUDIO TO NAME A FEW.
IN THE FUTURE MANY OTHER PROJECTS CAN BE
EXPECTED FROM HIM, FOR EXAMPLE RELEASES ON
MATRIX DETROIT, AFFECTED, STYRAX, FRANTIC FLOWERS AND MORE. HE IS
NOW LIVING IN THE FRANKFURT AREA WHERE HE
CONCENTRATES ON HIS OWN PRODUCTIONS AND
THE DEEP SIDES OF SOULFUL ELECTRONIC MUSIC.
HE FOUNDED HIS OWN LABEL
"AW-RECORDINGS" IN 2004 AND RELEASED HIS FIRST ALBUM "PATH OF THE GODS" IN EARLY 2007 ON HIS LABEL. IN 2008 HE MOVED TO GLASGOW, SCOTLAND.
AW-RECORDINGS IS NOW DEFUNCT SINCE JULY 2009. THE NEW LABEL DIAMETRIC. WILL BE LAUNCHED IN SEPTEMBER 2009.
