That’s what comes to mind when you hear the name of Stuttgarts own Arne Rasimus. The young man started spinning the wheels at the age of just 14 years and knew by then, what his purpose was: Music! Music! Music! Not more not less. Arne Rasimus started being spotted in early 2004 when he was given a chance of a residency at the famous Cine Colibri Club in Stuttgart.
Twice a month he surprised the crowd with freshly squeezed and unconventional electronic music, he immediately cultivated a following of loyal fans and gained the respect of those within the German electronic scene – Arne’s career had begun….
Calling Steve Bug his idol his style should be given a great musical direction. Over the last 2 years Arne managed to play alongside great and respected artists of the electronic music scene like Abe Duque, Steve Bug, Luciano, Noze, Martin Landsky, Phonique, Electric Indigo, Kiki & Silversurfer, John Selway, Miss Yetti, and many more.
He is always focused to the crowd, not trying to get hitty and putting the audience into another state of mind. His unique style brought him almost everywhere around Germany. Every gig a highlight, every person satisfied. That’s how we want it from Newcomers!
The first self-produced Arne Rasimus sound is on the Maxi Puppies from kLEINkARIERT. Receiving great support from them for his release, they offered him the opportunity to do a superb Remix for this fabulous 12" out on Pop Up Trash rec.
Yassin & Arne – The next chapter.
At the end of 2005 Arne met fellow dj/producer - Yassin Rupp, they immediately struck a friendship based around their love for the same sounds and musical. Immediately they decided to team up as DJ and production duo - “Yassin & Arne”.
After many long studio sessions to find just the right sounds and textures they wanted for the “Yassin & Arne” project they had their first release finished. Their good friend Martin Decara from the Kopenhagen 3rd Floor Records signed their release “Bleepy Creep” on his label.
The release was a success and catapulted the duo onto the international scene. Receiving much support and feedback from many well know and respected djs and producers in the industry, the hard work in the studio and their musical talent was starting to really shine. Berlin based “Cassy” did a remix of “Bleepy Creep” that was even featured on the well-know Panaromabar mix compilation cd.
Further in 2006 Yassin & Arne released their first remix on the new Stuttgart Label Parquet Rec. For Summer 2007 another remix on Parquet Rec. will be released. Yassin & Arne are always working on new tracks for upcoming releases, these tracks are sure to rock the dancefloors of clubs all over the world.
Beside his successful project Yassin & Arne, Arne Rasimus teamed up with the Discotronic-Crew. Discotronic is a collective of four Australian DJs and Producers who have been organising a lot of successful parties in Melbourne.
Together with Arne Rasimus the crew will add more sections to their project such as a booking, podcast and a netlabel. Beside that more Discotronic events in Australia and even in Europe are confirmed already.
Erasmus & Krieger – another step.
In 2008 he teams up with his friend and DJ partner Boris Krieger as a new Project Erasmus & Krieger. As a team they form an unbeatable unity and with their energetic sets they play themselves into the hearts of the partycrowd. Both of them are involved in a club culture for a long time and pushed themselves into the front of the scene.
The production is in progress and the first results are more than just magnificent.
