| About Arne |
Arne grew up in a small town named Kierspe near Cologne, Germany and started playing guitar at the age of 7. And by 8 he had given his first public performance with solo guitar.
Arne Willems studied guitar with Dieter Kreidler and Alfred Eickholt at the college of music Cologne, department of Wuppertal (Germany), for his instrumental-educational Diploma and in 2009 he has graduated with Artist Diploma at Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. There he studied guitar with Prof. Alexander Sergej Ramirez.
In 2007, 2008 and 2009 he took masterclasses with famous classical guitarists with international remomée.
For example: Roberto Aussell, Hubert Käppel, Konrad Ragossnig, Tadashi Sasaki, Pavel Steidl, Fabio Zanon, Thomas Müller-Pering, Fabio Shiro Monteiro, Dale Kavanagh.
Arne won the Yehudi Menuhin Competition 2008. He has been awarded to be a "Yehudi Menuhin musician", In 2008 and 2009 he played lots of concerts for people who cannot visit concerts because of physical or mental disabilities.
On 02/22/2009 he played Audition an the Cleveland Institute of music, OH, USA.
The Audition was a success and he won a big schoolarship. Nevertheless the Cleveland Institute of music was to expensive and so he refused to start in the class of Jason Vieaux.
In May 2009 he played successful Audition at the Koblenz International Guitar Academy.
Arne is member of a rockband called RIOTZ, located in Lüdenscheid.
