Arnold Gottlieb is a bass player, tuba player, blah, blah, blah,........okay, okay, thanks for reading, but it's me writing this....I'm currently doing the "NYC Shuffle" playing bass, acoustic bass or tuba in the showbiz world, on broadway, and lots of smaller theatre's and cabaret's and studio's in the New York City area, while trying to balance playing with a bunch of singer/songwriters and rock bands. The songwriter I'm most involved with is Andy Germak, he writes great songs and I've turned down a lot of money from other less interesting but higher paying gigs to keep my commitments with Andy, it's always worth it (well, except one night in Asbury Park N.J wasn't really worth it...........). I also play in a band in Germany called Ton3. Our website is http://www.ton-3.de and we've been getting a bit of air play over there, I can't wait to see what happens......I've also played or continue to play with Tanuja (Tanuja Desai Hidier), Ken Beasley, Shon, Julie Wood Scher, Heather Hardy, Liz Keever, Bill Malchow, The Funky Fritter's, Groove Assault, The Ecuadorian Brass Band, and The Tiny Bubble Band. In the Broadway world I substitute at "A Chorus Line" "Chicago" and "Avenue Q", and have subbed at "Wicked" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", recent TV work on Bravo, TLC, Fox, and CBS ("Love Monkey"). Other than that, I'm always looking for something new to play, and new people to play with.
