just listen to the songs. a lot of bands will claim they have a 'unique' sound - we really do sound different - though in a palatable way. we write SONGS, not albums or thinly-veiled tributes to our musical heroes ... and are ever seeking to find the perfect balance between intelligent art and pop ...
DYED EMOTIONS: Synthpop, Electronic Rock, Darkwave, sounds a little like (later) Depeche Mode or New Order with more guitar ... a little like some 1980's music
ARN POE: Soundtrack, Post-Punk, Synthpop, Electronic Rock, "TranceRock", 'New'Wave. A little more like The Cure/Depechemode/Morrissey, but only in a vague sense ...
if it were permissable by the pretentious elite, i'd add "Electronic Emo" ...

The new DYED EMOTIONS album, "Art of Regret" was released September 4th, 2007.
Dyed Emotions is a synthpop/electronic rock indie band from the Northwestern United States (Seattle, WA & Boise, ID). Though sometimes compared to Depeche Mode or New Order, Dyed Emotions has their own distinct sound: ElectroPop meets Seattle Rock.
my first performing band was FREIE KORPER KULTUR (Kuna, Idaho) in the early 1990's. after FKK, i joined Boise's TEK TEK TEK as vocalist & performed and was on a couple local radio stations in the Boise (Idaho) area.
after working on solo material for a few years, i moved to New England, where i was bassist with goth band DORIAN JAMES for a period.
i relocated to Seattle, joining synth-pop band DYED EMOTIONS. the allure of playing in a synthpop band in grunge-rock ridden Seattle was a huge driving force in my musical choices, and i turned down options with other bands in favor of the challenge. Despite not fitting into the kitschy Seattle music scene, we received a lot of national & international radio airplay, print reviews & played out far more than i had in prior bands.
though i've finally escaped the city, i am still currently with DYED EMOTIONS, and am working on more solo material, as well as material for a 3rd DE album and a special DE remix CD.
In Fall of 2008 i "went back to school", and am currently providing sound design (& occasional scoring work) for theatrical performances at the college. The first was "The Miracle Worker", in which i composed original music & did some recording work with the actors, and more recently i provided sound design for the production of Shakespeare's "A Comedy of Errors", which will be running from Feb 26th through March 1st, 2009.
I've also been putting the studio to some good use, recording/producing unsigned artists and doing some demo work for a film i'm involved with.
FINALLY, a plug for the label: we are looking for bands to join our label or participate on projects with LOST KEY RECORDS
& am always looking for remix artists ("producers" and "DJ's") who would like to ply their skills on some of our tracks for free exposure.
