Coming from a musical family, Aronda Way has been a professional performer for more than twenty years. Her vocal artistry and repertoire, covering the full spectrum of jazz, soul, Rhythm & Blues and Down Home Blues, has taken her from New England and New York to Germany as a solo artist, vocal group member and producer. She is truly touched by the "S" Factor - sassy, smooth, spirited and soulful.
SOLO ARTIST: Ms. Way has received accolades as a solo artist. She was the premier award winner of the Budweiser sponsored regional competition, Jammin with the Masters. Preforming throughout New England in such diverse venues such as the Spirit of Boston cruis ship, the theatrical production of Harlem Renaissance: Revisted with a Boston Flair, repeat performances at both the acclaimed Harlem Renaissance Garden Party of Providence, Rhode Island and the nationally known Steppin' Out Event of Boston which draws thousands each year. Aronda has become a vocal staple on the music scene playing a long list of nightclubs such as Sculler' Jazz Club, Ryles Jazz Club, the Cantab Lounge and Harper's Ferry to name a few. In addition, she has produced the Vocal Concert Series "Aronda" at the renowned Panzares Club.
GROUP VOCALS: Aronda Way was one of the founding members of VINTAGE - SISTERS IN VOCAL HARMONY, a vocal group whose popularity and aritstry took them to the stage of Harlem, New York's internationall famous Apollo Theater. They also performed at such venues as Les Zygomates, Limbo's, the Berklee House and with the Women of the Village Production;s touring Celebration of Jazz & Blues. Aronda also served as the vocalist for the Boston's popular Jazz Report Quintet. While living in Germany, Aronda toured extensively with the successful funk band Groove.
