ARON ROMHANYI TRIO:
The trio was formed in 2002 in Budapest, Hungary. All three members are professionals from the young generation of jazz musicians in Hungary. The style of Gergely Mits bass-player and Péter Szendofi drummer add zest to the songs composed and arranged by Aron Romhanyi pianist. The trio exclusively plays originals composed by Aron, and they perform the pieces with fire and passion, while maintaining precision and smoothness. They recorded their first album in 2004, entitled Passion and Purity.
All compositions on the album where written by Aron Romhanyi. The core of the music constitute of almost classic, standard-like melodies, and these are presented in various interesting arrangements. The final sound is modern, sweeping, but still easy-listening. The style could be defined as a Central European digest of swing, be-bop, latin, and modern jazz. Together with a suggestive performance all these elements definitely add up to a coherent, distinctive style.
A great virtue of the band is that the precise technical knowledge of the musicians does not mean having to listen to endless virtuoso skales, but results in an extroverted style full of fire and passion, which yields an ecstatic atmosphere at their concerts.

Founding Loop Doctors -
The basic idea for Loop Doctors came in 2005, when the two founding members of the band, Aron Romhanyi (keyboards) and Peter Szendofi (drums) where talking with Gary Willis about modern musical styles, during the recording of Peter's solo album. Later the band was formed, and with special guest Gary Willis on bass, and trumpet player Kornél Fekete-Kovács, they recorded the first album "High Voltage" in 2006.
The music is a medley of different styles, including jazz, drum 'n' bass, jungle, hip-hop and rap. An overall category could be nu-jazz, but Loop Doctors can also be seen in clubs, where people actually dance to the music. Loop Doctors usually performs as a duo, Peter using an 'Octa-pad', from which the grooves, bass lines and additional synths are played, and also plays acoustic drums. Aron plays keys, and also does some vocals/rap. Since 2006 they regularly do a tour every year with Gary Willis, and in 2008 the band will also do concerts with special guest Brandon Fields on sax.
The first album "High Voltage" recieved the "Fonogram - best jazz album of the year 2008" award in Hungary.

Meg egyébként is teljesen odáig vagyok, gyakorlatilag a hagyományos hangszereknek bizonyos elektronikus modulációkkal történő átalakítása során nyert hangokért, illetve a virtuális analóg hangszerek hallatán ebben a fajta improvizatív zenében.
Volt szerencsém a minap hozzá jutni az új Loop Doctors lemezhez, a Peti révén. Hát míg tartott az utunk haza a suliból Pestre, meghallgattuk. Sírt és zokogott mindenki annyira zseniális. Már pont abba a stádiumban voltam, hogy nagyon hiányzott valami új és ez pont jókor jött. "Semmi sem véletlen."( Kung- Fu pandából a teknős) :-) Nagyon király lett.
