Alexandra Rowe has been a Melbourne based soloist singer/songwriter for 7 years. Currently working as Arowe, her single "Deaf Silence" was featured on the 2009 Vic Rocks/Push compilation album "Naked in the Woods"; nationally released through Mushroom Marketing on the '09 August Rhythms Magazine. Alex was previously the frontwoman for Simpatico, a well known Melbourne 9 piece jazz/hiphop/funk fusion band, with MC Whisper and MC Mantra from Equals, and players from the Trojan Horns.

Having begun her music career as a folk singer, she briefly trained as a jazz vocalist under Michelle Nicole to expand her repertoire, singing jazz standards for the 24 piece Princess Hill Jazz Band. A classically trained instrumentalist (she's got mad skillz on piano, ukele, violin, guitar and bass!), Arowe comes from a musical family. A naturally gifted performer, Arowe's vocal ability is far beyond her years.

Her recent training at RMIT in the BA Music Industry saw her studying under Michael Jordan(renowned jazz drummer), Julie O'Hare, Ben Blay and Barry Hill (The Bird). The 25 year old has spent a good half of this year collaborating with several producers to bring her album out SOON, and is re-releasing her first album from 2000, "Alex in Wonderland". The new title will be "10 years in Wonderland", ft. ten other prominent artists from the Melbourne music scene.
