   About Arq
Arq has been formed to provide the highest quality Celtic style party music for folk festivals, corporate functions and private parties.

The virtuoso leading the melodies is Harriet Bartlett, winner of the coveted Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections in 2003, and the "In The Tradition" award in 2001. Harriet has shared a stage with some of the most high profile performers (for example Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham).

John Buckley is an amazingly versatile guitar player who has been the touring face of the American Taylor Guitars and Alistair Gillies, recently described in a review as a "sax supremo", is one of the genre's top sax players combining traditional and improvisational styles to great effect.

Multi-instrumentalist Ian Wilson on mandola, mandolin, keyboards and banjo, skillfully intertwines melody and rhythm adding richness and texture to the band's sound.

Martin Tabraham is an intuitive and imaginative bass player who combines perfectly with the driving power of drummer Barry Malin to give the band a rock solid backline and the combined talents of these six musicians give Arq a truly original sound.
