Towards the end of 2008, three stalwart musicians came together to try out some new material on each other. The result was as unexpected as it was welcomed.
A couple of jam sessions later, Conor, Shayne and Brian, decided to try out this new material in front of a live audience. With just three songs to their name and under the moniker of Arrow in the Sky, they took to the stage at a local singer songwriter night. The audience reacted the same way they had.
Since those hectic early days, the trio have been busy writing, rehearsing, recording and playing shows. They have supported the likes of Mark Geary, Colm Lynch, Villagers and have just finished a very successful seventeen date tour of Ireland.
Arrow in the Sky have been compared to Fleetwood Mac, Turin Brakes, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Simon and Garfunkel. Yet listening to Arrow in the Sky is like listening to a new genre of music. Blending what has influenced them with their own individual styles to create a fresh take on folk/rock.
Do What Thou Wilt, the debut E.P. is available from July 6th etc.
‘Do what thou wilt’ is the perfect summer ep rather like the perfect summer drink.
Fresh, crisp and highly intoxicating - Roddie Cleere (WLRfm)
"They may only be aiming for the sky, but this EP breaks right into heaven..." Ronan Casey (Journalist and Choice Music Prize Judge)
