ARSAMES HISTORY:
The inscription by Artaxerxes on his addition of the western staircase to Darius' Tachara reads;
A great god is Ahuramazda, who created this earth, who created yonder heaven, who created happiness for man, who made Artaxerxes king. One king for many, one leader of many.
The great king Artaxerxes, the king of kings, the king of countries, the king of this earth, says: I am the son of king Artaxerxes [II Mnemon]. Artaxerxes was the son of king Darius [II Nothus]. Darius was the son of king Artaxerxes [I]. Artaxerxes was the son king Xerxes. Xerxes was the son of king Darius [the Great]. Darius was the son of a man named Hystaspes. Hystaspes was a son of a man named Arsames, the Achaemenid.
ARSAMES is a thrash death metal band from Iran (Mashhad) , formed in 2002 by leader and skin pounder Ali Madarshahi (the drummer) and hamid yousefi the guitar player
Arsames really began to develop it’s true potential with a new talented musician Ali Sanaie (the fastest bass player in Iran!!) if you doubt it, check out the video beast player
We started creating and writing songs and practicing them at the same time.
The members of the band at that time were:
1-Ali Madar Shahi (drums)
2-Hamid Yousefi (guitars)
3- Ali Sanaei (bass)
But the necessity of another guitar player to enrich the melodies in our songs was obvious. so Ali Azhari joined ARSAMES and he filled the empty space in our songs beautifully.
Right now, we have some pieces of music that we are eager to release as an album.We want to dedicate the album to all Iranian metal fans and to show our friends in the other countries that Iran is a great country with lots of talent and potentional.
We are determined to prove that this kind of music is beyond the borders and are not designated to any geographical region in the world (especially the western countries) in contrast; Eastern music with its heavenly melodies can modify thrash death metal music to one of the best pieces of music in history.

You’re the first metal band I listen to from Iran… Usually metal bands came from Scandinavia, or United States, or Europe… so Arsames is the first one for me… and I must say… YOU’RE A GOOD ONE!!!
