West Suffolk College provides the best of creative technology, old and new. You will find state of the art Apple Mac computers and digital photography equipment, alongside more traditional methods of work such as ceramics, printmaking and darkroom facilities. Students are encouraged to experiment with a range of media, by staff who are well qualified and many experienced practioners in their own field of work.
The School of Art and Design provides a supportive environment, where students can sample all sorts of creative processes. This experience will help them decide on the next step in their careers. All courses provide a rich experience of activities from live briefs from local businesses, residential visits such as the annual trip to New York, competition work, team work and above all, opportunities to achieve on a personal level.
The creative world is fun, exciting and hardwork but offers great rewards. Our students progress to a range of destinations, both in higher education and employment.
