Art Alive Tattoo & Piercing is the personal studio of artist Kevin Ray. A North Carolina native, Kevin saw a demand for a change in the area when it came to being tattooed or pierced. He opened AATP with the intension of not becoming the stereotypical tattoo shop. There are no racks or books filled with generic tattoo designs, there is no crowded lobbie filled with people who are just there to hang out, and no arrogant artists that think it's ok to be stoned while they work! AATP is a custom art studio meaning that each tattoo is designed specifically for each client with plenty of attention going into even the smallest designs. This standard of quality takes time and for that reason most tattoos at AATP are done by appointment with a $20-$40 deposite required. Kevin Ray is an extremely capable artist with an impressive portfolio and many certifications that go beyond the minimal local requirments. Kevin can go over any further details with you then and will also be able to answer any questions. If he is tattooing when you arive, be patient, he will be happy to give you his full attention when he takes his next break. And please leave your kids a home, this is a professional tattoo studio dealing with extremly dangerous chemicals and bio-hazardous waste on a daily basis.
