Who I'd like to meet:
I would like to meet my parents when they were kids and my son when he is 30. And then I would like to meet myself somewhere in the middle.
Music, film, comedy, television, marketing trends, technology, entrepreneurship, and in general learning about and understanding what drives people. I'm always looking for that certain something that will turn the world on its heels, you know, something truly earth shattering. And so, the search continues but I will find it... and you can take that to the bank!
Music
All genres from Frank Sinatra to David Bowie, from The Dead Boys to Kanye, from John Lee Hooker to Sublime, and from Parliament Funkadelic to Steve Earle - and everywhere in between.
Movies
Anything Scorsese, Gladiator movies (Spartacus rules!), Horror films , the scarier the better.
Television
Dexter, Nurse Jackie, US of Tara, Weeds, Entourage, Forensic Files, Snapped, and most True Crime series.
Books
Sadly, I've become exactly what I fear the future holds for my son. I've become a product of the internet in a fast paced world. I'm well on my way to becoming a card carrying member of the immediate gratification society - getting all of my information from the web, throw-away publications, the back of boxes, and an occasional ticker-tape at the bottom of the TV screen. For my penance I will read three chapters of War and Peace and take a librarian to lunch.
I played "Ill Have Somebody Else"(-bonus track)on the newly GRAMMY nominated cd, Willie and the Wheel (Willie Nelson and AATW)!!!!!BRAND NEW SONGS UP TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the band just got on reverbnation..check it out..www.reverbnation.com/therubyjaneshow
