Interests

  • General

TalentDatabase.com Art (of course), music, and film, Disney animation, etc., but anything creative really... I'm also into the whole Pop culture thing, so anything exploitive, plastic, and of-the-moment gets my attention as well. I also have an extremely twisted sense of humor.
    ..
I love Halloween! Every year we host the HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILLSIDE bash for our friends and neighbors.
  • Music

I still love the music I grew up listening to, so I tend to be stuck in the 80's...but I like alot of newer stuff, too. I have a pretty eclectic range, from New Wave to industrial to bubble gum pop to standards (Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin). In rotation at any given moment: Culture Club, Pet Shop Boys, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna (up through "Music"), Dead Or Alive, Nine Inch Nails, Martika, Debbie Gibson (yes, Debbie Gibson!), BANANARAMA!!!, Marilyn Manson, Kylie Minogue, The Dead Milkmen, THE B-52's!!!, Garbage! (I am obsessed with Shirley Manson!), ABBA, Erasure, Bronski Beat, Communards, Billie, A*Teens, (early, teen nymphet) Britney Spears, Taylor Dayne, ABC, Duran Duran, Wham!, Rob Zombie, Thrill Kill Kult, The Cramps, Kelly Clarkson, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Donna Summer, 10,000 Maniacs, early Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., Josie And The Pussycats, RuPaul, Republica, Veruca Salt, Letters To Cleo, Mary Chapin Carpenter, etc., etc. Songs I Never Get Tired Of: You Spin Me 'Round (Like A Record), I Wanna Be A Cowboy, Safety Dance, Cruel Summer, Hungry Like The Wolf, Girls Just Want To Have Fun, I'm Only Happy When It Rains
  • Movies

I studied film in school, so I have a great love for classic American cinema. As for new films, really dark or completely outageous comedies do it for me. A good popcorn flick is always cool, and I love Musicals! (Oh, and there is nothing on this earth better than a campy, GOOD bad movie!!!) I love anything you can quote freely from.... Faster Pussycat...Kill! Kill!; All About Eve; Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?; Mommie Dearest; SHOWGIRLS!!!; Heathers; The Women; Titanic; Kiss Me, Kate!; Small Town Girl; Good News; Bringing Up Baby; Spiderman 1 & 2; Jawbreaker; Moulin Rouge; High School Confidential! (Mamie Van Doren rocks my world!); Porkies 1 & 2; Galaxy Quest; Heartbreakers; The Rocky Horror Picture Show; Chicago; Sixteen Candles; The Breakfast Club; 9 To 5; Ninotchka; Gone With The Wind; Blonde Venus; Dancing Lady; The Best Of Everything; Barefoot In The Park; Where The Boys Are; Barbarella; The War Of The Roses; Airplane; The Naked Gun movies ("Assault with a concrete Dildo?!?!?); High Society; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang; The Wizard Of Oz; Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss; Velvet Goldmine; Hedwig And The Angry Inch; Batman and Robin (Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy...nuff said!); The Parent Trap (the Hayley Mills version, not the crappy remake); Pillow Talk; South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut; Mulan; The Letter (Bette Davis: "He tried to make love to me and I shot him."); Gentlemen Prefer Blondes; Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?; Some Like It Hot; i could go on forever.....
  • Television

I watch entirely too much tv. I'm a huge TV Land, Nick At Nite, and late night Lifetime programming fan. I also watch alot of CW (nee The WB), but I rarely watch the Big 3 networks...never seen Desperate Housewives or Survivor, Bachelor, etc....But I love: Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeannie, Green Acres, The Munsters, Gilligan's Island, The Golden Girls, The Nanny, Smallville, What I Like About You, Grounded For Life, Reba, Still Standing, Will & Grace (before it sucked), Ellen, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Laverne & Shirley, Charlie's Angels, Wonder Woman, Birds Of Prey, Just Shoot Me, Frasier, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, SpongeBob Squarepants, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Petticoat Junction, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Brady Bunch....whatever happened to reruns of The Partridge Family? Or The Flintstones, Jetsons, etc? I miss that stuff....
  • Books

Mostly non-fiction. Do trashy, tell-all Hollywood biographies count as "real" books?
  • Heroes

Growing up, I always wanted to be THE FLASH or GREEN LANTERN! WONDER WOMAN kicks ass, too! I've always been a big comic book geek, and that's reflected in my art
