About me: art by mags! is the business name of new orleans art-n-craftivist margaret coble, aka mags. spray paint and stencils are my friends. i make hand-stenciled clothing, signs, and vinyl record clocks, all with my own original stencil designs. i tinker with silkscreening and other diy printing techniques, too. and i've been known to hand-paint furniture and paintings in a folk art style as well. mostly i'm just fascinated with the process of printmaking, in all its many possibilities and forms, and with paint in general.
i'm also the music reviews editor for Curve Magazine and i write an indie queer music blog called stereo homo, so send me your press releases and promos! message me for my address.
AND, folks in NOLA can find me intermittently at various markets, including the 1st Saturday of every month at the Freret Street Market. Check my website for the latest updates as to where I'll be.
