At the molten hot core of the art toy movement, The Art Army is filling the gap between art and toys. Sick of boring snobby art, but in the new lexicon of art toys, The Art Army is a shout out to great people. This is no hobby, but it also ain't some profound artistic statement. Each mini totem is sculpted completely from scratch, and engineered for major articulation. The project expands well beyond both toys and sculpture, with stop-motion animations, fully personalized action figures, and cake topper portraits. The one-off action figures are each original, fully posable mini sculptures by Michael Leavitt, paying homage to the killer artists that rock our world.
Instead of following everybody on that corny Twitter thingy and Facebook, follow my trials and tribulations on www.iwillnotbeawastedtalent.blogspot.com
You could choose to be the last one to get down with the movement if you want, but I can't think of why anybody would wanna do something silly like that.
