I am a published singer/songwriter from Fort Worth, Texas whose distinctive lyrical and vocal styles allow me to cross the genres of country, pop, rock,
R & B, gospel and Christian. I am a member of BMI, Nashville Songwriters Association and Fort Worth Songwriters Association. Some of my influences include The Beatles, James Taylor, Elton John, Dan Fogelberg, Sting, Journey, Lyle Lovett, Jeffrey Steele, Tim McGraw, Lonestar, Hugh Prestwood and George Strait. Over the years I have worked in studios doing lead and background vocals for clients and have performed in various pop/rock bands.
I perform regularly in Texas and in Nashville, Tennessee at Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner, Commodore, Preston Hotel, French Quarter, Hall of Fame and 3rd and Lindsley. I make frequent trips to Nashville to record, network and perform as I love the close-nit songwriter community.
I have worked with:
David Geffen, Geffen Records
CBS Songs - Canada
Sony/ATV Music
Jim and Joe Music – Nashville
Steven Sharp – Nashville
Other music industry executives have taken notice of my voice and music:
”The best voice to ever come through the studio” – Ian Tyson, Studio Owner
“Fabulous voice!” – Carol Childs, Geffen Records
“Perfume & Love is a great song…” – Music City Talent
As a writer/artist on the GAR label I had my composition "What Is Christmas For" receive full rotation on over 100 regional and syndicated radio stations. I have appeared on local television programs in Texas and Toronto, Canada.
Jessika Murphy(American Idol) cut my song “Tell Me Twice” on her debut album in 2006. I won the songoftheyear.com contest for best song in the country category in 2007 with "Love Wants To Believe". I released my "Remember Me" album in early 2008. I enjoy spending time with family, golf, hockey, reading and movies.
3 days ago I added a new uptempto country song we've written called 'Honky Tonk Romeo'. If you haven't heard it already, I hope you can stop by and have a listen. If you know a country recording artist that is looking for new songs, please let them know about my myspace page. We are shopping all of the songs on this myspace page 'Country Songs For You'. Raine
Thanks for adding me! I am a songwriter and the songs on my page are songs that I have written or co-written that I/we are shopping to country singers who are looking for fresh songs for their next CD.
