About me: Artec Festival 2007 on Withoutabox
Artec Festival is a bi-annual event that focuses on bringing exposure to independent artists and filmmakers. Myke Adams formed Artec in the fall of 2004 so that artists and filmmakers will have an alternative platform to showcase their works. For the past three years, this Multi-Arts festival has acquired fame among local and international artists by highlighting their talents without compromising their creativity. In 2007, Artec teams up with Beiteverso Productions Inc. to support the growing audience and projects of Artec 2007.
Artists and Filmmakers are asked to submit their work for entrance for review by a selection committee. The Artists and Filmmakers selected works are then exhibited and screened to the public and juried by a professional guest panel for prizes. In addition to the exhibitions and screenings Artec 2007 will be showcasing emerging bands and DJ’s.
The 2007 festival will take place at the Peter Jones Gallery (more TBA) in Chicago during the weekend of October 26-29th. Peter Jones Gallery serves the community easily with its convenient location near major avenues on the north side and public transportation.
