OK.... So we're Arterya.... 3 guys and a girl who want to praise God with music other than old church hymns. All of us were either born playing in our church's praise and worship group or have been for a long time. We have been christians all our lives and we're glad that we've known Him for that long lol I have to say that we have many things in common, besides our musical tastes of course, but we'll get to that later. Apart from Pam's dad, we all have fathers who are pastors. Before we became Arterya, we were all in different bands of various styles. From Jazz to Rhumba lol. One day we decided to jam and see what would come out of it. We ended up writing some catchy stuff and decided to start this Christian/metal project. We have been together for 1 year now and Pam was recently added to the band. After hearing her angelical voice we decided that a female vocalist would add great contrast to our band's sometimes heavy/agressive sound. This 3-song demo you can listen to here, was done by Ghettoness Records in the basement of the guitarist's church just so that people could have an idea of what we sound like. We currently have 13 songs which were all written by the band as a whole. You can hear all of our different musical influences in our compositions. We're all very eager to start having opportunities to show other kids that, being Christian is AWESOME! and that we can praise God in whatever style of music we like, God created music after all! We want to reach out for those kids that are lost, with no hope in life and bring them to know Jesus Christ and find inner-peace through our music. Oh yea the name Arterya right.... well it's a cool way of saying that we are connected to the heart of God just like arteries. GOT IT?
