Artesian Well was formed in early 2007 by Scottish axeman/songwriter Andy Johnson, geordie axeman Kane Armstrong and geordie drummer Adam Telford who'd met in a previous musical endeavour and were later joined by four-stringer Jon Witherspoon who was a credit to the band, however, things didn't work out and we are now joined by bass player Amy Armstrong.
After many auditions and careful deliberation we have now decided on the enigmatic Ash Robertson for the position of Artesian Well's front man!
Our music flows from subtle melodic rock to heavy metal riffery, dripping with tasteful guitar solos and soaring vocals backed with a rock solid rhythm section...

cant remember whether I said this in the message, but upon driving past next week's venue its actually called Joseph's The Soup kitchen, with a massive sign saying JOSEPH'S then it says 'The Soup Kitchen' on the window, so add Joseph's to the list of titles the venue has haha
dont think i have gone down the grungy route for 4 years now! I dont really go into new bands with any set styles, i like to see what happends. Rather just sound unique. So far id describe the sound as kinda like Queens of a stone age.. kinda stoner rock.
So when your band is ready get your ass to Hull for a gig next year ;)
Well yeah takes any vocalist time to gel! to find that sweet spot, plus he needs to gain confidence too. Be awesome for Andy though means he can concentrate more on his playing and be even better :D.
