Influences
ArtFare.org
ArtFare, formerly located in the YMCA at 5th Avenue and 6th Street, is now located in the Sears Executive at 55 N. Sixth Avenue Center downtown at 55 N 6th Ave , in the heart of downtown Tucson.

Many Tucsonans remember the Muse fondly for the many concerts and events we've held over the years, including The Arizona Fetish Ball , performances by such bands as Rufio and Thursday, and even community meetings of the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation.

   About ArtFare.org
ArtFare is here for you!
ArtFare is Tucson's central one-stop source for helping to insure the success of our local bands and artists. We are a non-profit corporation that is dedicated to supporting the arts and humanities in Tucson, southern Arizona, and beyond.
Bands and Musicians
If you are in a Tucson band, you need to take advantage of the resources ArtFare has to offer, including:
  • We offer performance space and no minimum head count (for local bands only -- a sliding scale is available for out-of-town performers).
  • We will supply publicity, lighting, sound equipment and concessions to help make your performance the best it can be.
  • When you become one of ArtFare's MySpace friends, our mentoring programs will provide you with invaluable advice and suggestions from some of the most successful bands in Tucson, and elsewhere, including how to promote your band, steps you need to take to get signed by a record label, and much, much more.
  • We provide local bands with unique networking opportunities, along with all the inside information they need to keep in touch with the latest happenings in the Tucson Art Scene.
  • We promote and organize collaborative programs to help bands and musicians expand their potential and explore new opportunities. All you need to do is become one of ArtFare's MySpace friends, and you'll gain access to more opportunities than you ever dreamed of to expand and enrich your musical potential.
  • We offer rehearsal spaces at the lowest rates in town (and occasionally, free.
Note: We do ask that bands make a tax-deductible donation of a percentage of the proceeds from any shows performed at Artfare's downtown facility, in order to help offset our operational costs and overhead.
Painters, Photographers and Other Artists
If you are struggling to make a name for yourself in Tucson's thriving arts community, ArtFare is here to help. You need the leverage that ArtFare can provide:

  • We periodically host special gallery showings and other events to help promote and market your artwork.
  • Artists who become one of ArtFare's MySpace friends, will be able to take advantage of our mentoring programs, which include guidance and advice from award-winning artists, all of whom want to help you maximize the success of your artistic endeavors.
  • We provide local artists with unique opportunities for collaboration and networking, along with special programs and seminars to help creative people bridge social, economic and cultural gaps.
  • We offer studio spaces at the lowest rates in town (and occasionally, free.
Note: We do ask that artists make a tax-deductible donation of a percentage of the proceeds from any artwork sold at ArtFare's downtown gallery, in order to help offset our operating costs and overhead.

Thesbians and Dancers
Theater folks, dance troupes and performance artists also have a home at ArtFare. Both established companies and new groups should use ArtFare's many resources, which include:
  • Reduced cost (and occasionally FREE) performance spaces where you can present your work to the community.
  • To help make your show a success, ArtFare will supply publicity, lighting, and sound, either free or in exchange for a nominal donation to help offset our costs to provide these services.
  • Actors who join our elite group of MySpace friends, will have access to our mentoring programs.
  • We provide Tucson's theater community with unique opportunities for professional networking along with unique opportunities for collaboration and other cooperative efforts.
  • ArtFare also offers space for rehearsals and readings, as well as acting, dance and directing classes, all at the lowest rates in town (and occasionally, free.

What's right for you? The circle of life is full of choices, one must be free to make their own choices as to what is right for them. In choosing, one must however consider the effects on others in their personal choices. The only real guideline is cause and effect, we have open reign in life to choose for ourselves that which is right for us....but do no harm to others or the circle of life. Also make sure your choices are indeed your own choices and not ones you've been talked into, or pushed toward, or even convinced to make by another. Let your choices be as individual as you are. You know what is right for you, your heart and mind knows and if you are listening to your soul sounds, then you will always know what choices are best for you. All our choices effect the circle of life, good or bad. There are some choices in our lives that we have to make, that weigh heavy in responsibility on us, like those we make after we become parents. I choose today to write about choices, because I have seen cause and effect happen in negative ways, not with the intent to harm or hurt someone, but nevertheless the choice has brought that outcome. In making choices we have to consider, are we making this choice because of selfish reasons, or because the choice is the right one to make. What? But you said I am free to make choices! Yes we are free to make choices, but when we make selfish choices they always cause pain, heartbreak, sadness, and destruction to others. In making choices we always have to weigh our intent..are we being pure, or purely selfish. Have a wonderful safe weekend my friend..hugs
