************************************************************** Originally comprising of producers Mark Hill & Pete Devereux, the name Artful Dodger is already established as the most commercially successful UK Garage act to have emerged from the scene to date. Mark produced a slew of chart topping hits including ‘Re-Rewind’ and ‘Woman Trouble’ and floor filling remixes that confirmed Artful Dodger’s place as a premier production act. Due to musical differences Mark & Pete decided to go separate ways and Pete Left the group in 2003. Mark went on the produce Craig David’s multi platinum No 1 selling album "Born To Do it" in which Craig had a string of hits including numerous numbers 1's and many top ten hits, which made Craig a global star around the world. In late 2003 after teaming up with new member DJ & Producer Dave Low, Mark Hill & Dave Low are now joined by MC Alistair (Original Artful Dodger MC) and Artful Dodger are now storming the urban music scene once again, with a fresh new sound. As Mark reveals: “It’s a whole new Artful Dodger set up so we thought we’d take it back to the roots level. Back to the streets were it all began.” The first fruit of the group’s return was a track entitled "Flex" (featuring Vula). This not only marked the first new music from Artful since their debut platinum album "Its All About The Stranglers" in 2001, but also marks the first collaboration of the founder member & producer Mark Hill with new member Dave Low. The boys have been in the studio working hard and the follow up album to "Its All About The Stragglers" will be completed later this year, and will feature some surprise celebrity guests and some of the UKs hottest new talent. The live Artful Dodger sets are not just your run of the mill DJ / MC set but consist now of playing a host of styles from UKG, Funky & Soulful House, Bassline, Electro, RnB, Hip Hop, Bashment, Jungle/D&B & Rare Groove. There sets having been tearing up dance floors up and down the UK and all over the world (Dubai, Holland, Poland, Romania, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Russia, Switzerland, Ibiza, Cyprus, South Korea, Germany, Prague & the USA to name but a few) where ever they play. Getting the audience involved and being able to adapt to any crowd they play to, by dropping a selection of tunes that fits nicely in with atmosphere on the night, this makes a splendid party vibe wherever they play and keeps the crowd entertained & partying all night long.
